It would stand to reason most in these forums having been paying to play the game. It also stands to reason that a significant number of those saying they have been paying but no more are really still planning on paying.

I pay for the crafting bag only especially since all toons are max crafters and I do my daily writs on all toons every day

I like the bennies

I like the extra bank space
I like the DLC perks
I like the 1650 crowns each month
I like being able to use dyes on costumes

So, on those occasions where I would normally spend 15 to pick up 1500 crowns, I can spend 15 once a month and get all the stuff listed (and more)

I know people claim 'It's not worth it', but I just do not understand that viewpoint. For what you receive, it is worth it to me.

Of course, if one is going to use the Crown Store, buying Crowns by any other means but ESO+ or Crown sale would be stupid.

Problem for me being Crown store is apparently run by some greasy non-pc-cultural-stereotype ex used car salesman who actively tries to con people do stupid consumer things with its overpriced limited time offers and gamble crates. I don't want anything to do with a shop I see as scammy and predatory.

I also feel picking up free things like quest starters from store instead of ingame quest giver or somehing offensive and annoying. I get that publisher really wants to players use the crown store. But how about making the store feel like a good deal instead of some kind of evil cancerous parasite sucking joy out of game?

I cancellee my ESO+ due to all the bugs and horrible lag spikes. I was also disappointed with the new ability given to my class.

I feel like there is no point paying for a product I know I won't be playing. I'll consider resubbing in future but honestly this month I probably deserved a 2 week compensation. Orc is bugged, lag spikes every few seconds, queues are broken etc... Its just not worth money or time.

Six months in and still having a great time. I haven’t played anything else since subscribing. I have had some issues but it works well for me maybe 98% of the time. It’s feature-rich and has so many different aspects to it that I can’t imagine getting bored... not any time soon at least.

I outright buy the chapters but will not pay for a subscription.

I am concerned about Bethesda's behaviour around Fallout 76 which is eerily similar to ESO models that perhaps I should stop giving ZoS money if they are going to use it on trash like Fallout 76

The way I play I don't have many issues with the game. Sure, there were recent login problems but that was few hours out of a whole year. I seriously don't get most of the problems people are complaining about here, the game doesn't lag for me, I que up for dungeons no problem (but I always make sure to group up with someone before queing), I don't play much pvp but battlegrounds work fine for most time (and if it doesn't I just do something else, it's not my first choice gameplay anyway), Imperial City runs with no issues, Cyrodiil during my scarce visits works ok and doesn't lag (but it's a bit empty tho). The Crown Store is a bit overpriced for my tastes and I'd prefer for crown crates to go away but I do buy some crowns from time to time. My gaming time is limited and I use it to play ESO and have fun so why shouldn't I spend my entertainment budget on that? I don't buy newly released games since my PC slowly turns into a potato and my Humble monthly sub is enough, I don't really have time to play through those new games. Why do people play this game if they find it unfun? For me the moment I find this game annoying to play I'll probably move on to something else.

I frickin love this game. I moved to a much better internet area about a year ago. Picture 1 mg DOWNLOAD... practically no upload - and this for a number of years. I've got patience down pat. For me, the loading screens are just peachy. Things work fine IMHO, but then my expectations are probably far more realistic than most lifer/gamers.

Subscribed since that became an option and will continue to do so as long as I play at least four hours a month and I play a lot more than four hours a month. Way cheaper entertainment value than going to see a movie even if I played only one hour a week.

After all the issues this game has with questionable combat changes such as ultimate delays and performance problems they just solidify my decision even further not spending anything on this game. How is it that the single target damage dealer of this game the stamina nigthblade have less damage to single target than the classes that do AOE damage.

I love this game, but I find its insulting that PC EU, most populated realm is second class customer. We have constantly worse performance than NA, we have more down time than NA, every maintenance is a walk through hell. Wy should I pay when I see no improvements in the area that needs them the most?

I have all dlc that came before marselock. My skills are buged and do not work, marcelok is dlc dunguan with recolered mobs, do not like it, last dlc have no dunguans at all.

I see no reason to pay now.

I will not pay anything, untill i see good content or my skills get fixed.

It do not work 5 + month. Fix moltan armaments already !!!

Cancelled my sub after 5 years back in August just before it renewed and closed my wallet to ZO$. Wallet will remain closed until they properly fix the mess that is the EU server and stop treating us non-Americans as 2nd class.

I miss the crafting bag, oh yes, but I have a work-around using mules - each time there is a free trial of ESO+, I will offload their inventories into the bag.

I'm not spending any more real money on this game until ZO$ gets their act together. Until then, I'll treat them as I treat any other service provider - no proper service, no pay.

I cancelled my sub a few months ago because I don't like the direction the game is moving in. I didn't buy Elsweyr because it's completely uninteresting to me. The combat has become so bad, overland questing is painful for me.

I went through a delve for an undaunted quest. I was groggy and didn't realize my bars were completely wrong before entering combat. I just spammed random abilities and it worked out perfectly fine because combat is brain dead.

I stopped buying all other Zenimax products years ago. Some of the decisions ZOS has made about ESO have negatively affected my opinion of all Zenimax products.

I feel ZOS does such a bad job with combat design, consistency, performance and stability because ESO is so successful as a housing and cosmetics game. Success breeds complacency. They tell us they are successful, at least.

I liked the ZOS who thought the original IC and vMA were good ideas.

ESO is one of my hobbies. Thankfully I can afford to spend money on my hobbies and am happy to do so.

I have ESO+ due to the quality of life improvements to game play this brings. I purchase cosmetics because I enjoy the aesthetic side of ESO, be it gear styles, mounts, pets, housing etc.

The above does not mean I cannot be critical, I am. ESO+ is too expensive for what you get. Almost everything in the Crown store is over priced. ZOS are clearly greedy and exploitative.

But it's getting very hard to justify. I honestly think the game management needs to sit down and review the performance of the current combat team.

I will emphasise that it's not the nerfs that bothers people, it's the buff followed by a nerf followed by a buff. Absolutely directionless.

I am pretty confident the combat team has no clue what they are doing. In the process, they have alienated a whole bunch of players.

As long as I'm playing I'll have a subscription because it's cheap entertainment. Probably due to the fact that I play solo and on a console, I don't have any complaints beyond the customary "this or that isn't ideal for how I personally play and here's how I would change it" type of thing. Interesting to hash over, sometimes, but no deal breakers or I wouldn't be around.

XBOX EU: I experienced positive issues that get unmentioned in the forums. The massive lag we had after the first elsweyr release is history. I can play delves fluently, even this did not work then. Heavy staff attacks were broken, there also was the "target is out of range" bug trying to loot corpses, this is fixed now.

I do cyrodiil now and then to level up 6 toons until tier 1-3, so far ok except freezes using shrines and annoying sudden loadscreens. Still pretty playable though.

My focus are daily delves and worldbosses, can't judge performance in trials, BGs, vet dungeons.

There is just ONE issue that really annoys me, the nerf of rapid manoever unmounted. 8 secs instead of 30 before makes it tedious to play magicka toons, as you just can walk in standard ("slow-mo") speed.
