PC Meta vs Console Meta - Preparing for Update

Since tomorrow is the big console update I wanted to see how some PC players have had to change their builds over the last 2 weeks.

Have the changes been what you expected?

Were their changes that you wish you noticed 2 weeks ago that would have saved you time?

Has Cyrodiil become more homogenized or diverse? Have trials?

Stuff like that. We all know there will be plenty of crashes and issues like always but when the game runs smoothly how have you adjusted?

rotations are a lot less about stacking as many dots as possible and going static [which i imagine was nice for console users] and more about what we saw with summerset where you lay out 2 aoes, 1 st dot, and then spam until a proc shows up, while of course keeping up minor force.

my two main builds as examples:

magblade rotation: prebuff (channeled acceleration, merciless resolve, siphoning strikes), elemental blockade, twisting path, swap, consuming trap (or cripple depending on the fight- consuming if there's minis / adds you can pull sustain from, otherwise the damage from crippling is a bit higher), then spam swallow / crushing shock / ele weapon [whatever spam you want there] until bow procs then use that. you get time for maybe 6 or 7 spams since blockade and twisting are 14 seconds thereabout. sounds complicated but really it's just 2 aoes, 1 dot, spam, and proc / rebuffing.

stamsorc: prebuff (bound armaments, crit surge, start with trap), endless hail, hurricane, swap, wrecking blow spam until 4 stacks of armaments then proc that. literally that's it. reapply aoes, start using executioner at 32%, rebuff BA but don't recast it after you get into execute, stop using BA after 20%, just use your 2 dots, trap, and executioner. Hits about the same dps as magblade with worse gear/optimization, only drawback is its very melee focused. oh and this is with the pet and BA both double slotted so you only need 6 skills to work with [in this case the skills are wrecking, executioner, trap, hurricane, endless, crit surge]

    to answer your other questions:
    1. changes are better than anticipated. DPS dropped but not by 20-30% like people predicted, as long as you adapt your build you'll be okay.
    2. the only thing i wish i knew two weeks ago was ...... magplar isn't as bad as people thought it would be? that's about it.
    3. raid comps are pretty diverse. Warden healers are the go-to now over templars, tanks are diverse including necro, warden, and NB tanks, a typical support setup looks like templar healer, warden healer, necro offtank, nb main tank, magdk support dps with zen's. You don't need to stack 8 stamcros anymore, 4 is the most you'll ever need, the other 4 can be any dps you want even in optimal settings you don't need 8 necros.
    4. no idea about cyro. dots are down so that isn't much of an issue. I think it's mostly about armor as a stat right now because potions giving armor makes everyone super hella tanky.

*Following to see some PC feedback too*

I used to chase the minor/moderate changes after each patch but now I usually roll with what I've ran before PvP wise. My Stam DK has had the same gear and race for almost 2 1/2 years now...still can 1v1 with the best of them too.

I almost always do a respec when a new update comes. Generally I’ve found that most “OMG sky is falling” hysteria posts on here are over exaggerated, yet it’s interesting to see what small changes I can make to be ahead of the game.

little CP changes here and there...slight tweaks on my skill bar have been made over time so yeah I agree on that for sure too op. Gear, aside from jewelry traits has stayed the same for me in pvp.

From a pvp perspective the biggest changes are the dizzy and cleanse changes. A lot of stam crutched on Dizzy and it’s not about spamming one ability anymore. Cleanse’s healing has been halved so it’s no longer the best aoe heal.

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten
