Dragonhold Magicka Necromancer PvP Build - BGs, Duels, No CP & CP Cyrodiil

I'm sharing on the forums my Magicka Necromancer PvP build for Dragonhold. It's a really strong build and works in battlegrounds, Cyrodiil and CP Cyrodiil. It has amazing defenses (37k/33k armour) but really high damage due to our pen (15k in No CP - 18.5k in CP) and our 40k Magicka pool. It has really good sustain with 1.8k regen base and over 2.5k effective regen with buffs etc so can stay in the fight for a long time. As with all of my builds, they're balanced and are accessible from 160cp+ without needing special weapons.

I like using BRP destro front bar for 1 more extra dot this patch, but hopefully will try you penetration build.

Using soul assault is also an interesting choice, haven't tried it after all the changes

Doesn't armour master give major resolve and ward that doesn't stack with beckoning armour?

You could switch up armour master for clever alchemist, pot on your back bar as another option with a bit more burst.

It's a separate buff to the major ward and resolve so you can stack them and carry the extra armour with you. That means by pushing our armour buff and then our shield we gain nearly 12k armour. As for using clever alch, necro scales poorly from my testing with spell damage and so decided to push pen to make sure we hit hard as you can see in the video about 2:50 in.

Soul assault works well as it's single target and is considered a dot so the necro passives buff it by 15% as well as the necro pen. You could go with onslaught but I enjoy the staff and found soul assault hits people for 20k+ over 6 seconds and as blast bones is slow and buggy, it gives it time to actually get to the target and work. Let me know how you get on

Oh damn, I didn’t know that. I thought they changed it to major ward and resolve and it didn’t stack. Looks like a great build.

@Iskiab yeah major buffs don't stack but armour master isnt a major buff hence it works. Really underrated set to be honest. It's the only way we can high such high resistances. Without that set it would be hard to hit that much armour. Well worth a try

Hey man nice video, I just wanted to point out that in stead of running 2 willpower rings you could just use a willpower destro and you're probably better of leaving the mage unmorphed for pvp since the morph gets its damage reduced by shuffle/blade cloak.
Nice build overall though, I've ran it too with some success 😊
Edit* disregard the thing I said about the willpower stuff.

Thanks! Been doing this YouTube thing for 5 months. Yeah the mage does get hit by shuffle sadly but its base damage increases so works better against magicka. It's a catch 22 lol. You can use potnetus jewellery which would make you even tankier
