stack 40k HP and spam rocks from range , in a zerg. Its the intended gameplay for stamina dragonknights.

Oh and If you expected a serious answer , nothing has changed. Slot blood spawn, fury and whatever else that you feel is lacking.

In the current meta (tanks) snb/2h is probably going to be your best bet. I would recommend orc or nord. Both are good it just depends on if you want extra resists or damage. As far as medium vs heavy goes you can play either. Personally I would stay away from fury. While it's still a good set it does have a lot of down time built into it now. New Moon Acolyte is pretty much going to replace fury imo. It does make everything cost 5% more rss but is still better than fury imo. Personally I'm running heavy Acolyte body with Essence Thief on my jewels and 2h. I would recommend you just play however you have fun though. In the end fun is the goal.

I'm still rocking deadly strike + seventh., 2H/2H, only thing that changes is CP reallocation for less DoT and more burst.

the gameplay changes big time personally for me since im moving away from Forward Momentum and into the new Molten Armaments coz it pops both Major and Minor Brut now. Plus the obligatory Volatile Armor together with 7th set gives me high wep damage even in heavy armor....

PvE though, thats a whole different story. lotsa changes.

This might be a dumb question, but where do I get burst damage on sDK in no CP from?

I recently tried 7th + Spriggan and Hunding's + Viper. I can't dot until Fossilize + Reverse Slice, because the dots are too weak. Also ressource drain is really bad and I need more stam rec glyphs on jewelry than before :(.

    Are you still using Dizzy?

I just finished a 20 minute fight with a StamdK with a similar build that you said, was very annoying fight, a different play style but stamdk still doing great

What's the point of DoTs now that half the classes can purge? Templar and Warden in a strong position now and both have quite easy access to purge. This wasn't a sarcastic question, really want an answer..

The Netch has one purge every 5 seconds. This sounds good in theory and imo it is very good in some saolo and 4-player pve content (like vma).

In PVP however you have lots of negative effects on you and you don't have control what netch purges. It's way weaker then Templar purge or the alliance war purge. To think dots and debuffs won't matter on a warden because he has netch purge now is a mistake imo.

The heck you talking about?! This is a stamDK thread and you’re talking about a warden skill?

Wait what mate. You’re running both forward momentum and molten armaments and using 2h on both bars? O_o Can’t you just cast forward and get your minor brutality from slotting stone giant (for slight range damage and stagger as well if you don’t want to use it much for stun) or from shield. Do you run molten because you don’t want to reapply major brutality as often? I also feel like if you can get more mag sustain (maybe from bear haunch food) you can run race against time instead of forward momentum or something. I don’t think minor endurance is that worth it if you’re running heavy armor without a stam regen set. Sorry, just some theorycrafting thoughts off the top of my head. I wonder what you’re running that needs double barring 2h for real.

I think its very viable(if not already meta) for all stam specs. Considering the CP interactions you don't even have to do anything out of ordinary to make truth work.

yah ok, I dont have that set yet but will try if i ever get back there lol i dont get how u get ur regen that high though, did u go over the enchants on those armors in the video??

but ur right, the new moon heavy is awesome! I'm rocking it with Spriggan on a 2H/2H build. i have agility/master/7th/deadly/etc.... but Spriggan felt most effective here thanks to the penetration. first its with 2H greatsword nirn coz i thought i want the highest burst....

....but actually it's the maul that does it for me.

    PS: I don't slot Onslaught.

i'm a med user 80% of the time, but the increase damage (~10, maybe 20% at most?) does NOT worth how squishy u can be.

with heavy, i can toe-to-toe for a lot longer.

Depends on your stats. I find with high enough crit (~45% or higher) with decent wpn dmg will scale incoming healing higher than the 12% boost heavy grants, considering the heavy build's wpn dmg will be lower. Keep the heals rolling and you can facetank like heavy.

I really don't like Fury...I know it's very good in theory but in practice I cannot get it to feel right to me!

What alternative options would you suggest? I'm thinking a 5 Medium build.

    Bone Pirate + Hunding?

    Bone Pirate + NMA?

    any other mix?

    I'm a little lost!

For CP PvP you can run NMA+Truth , master bow or BRP dw on the back bar , if you want a dizzy swing build. Its more of a ''do or die'' sort of playstyle however, since dizzy stun is removed your attrition will take a big hit because for optimal pressure you'll want to stun your enemy every 7 seconds and that can be a challange with d.swing's off-balance stun.

The one problem you'll find with NMA however is that your magicka costs will go through the roof, so If you like having magicka dumps then NMA is not the set for you(an alternative is ancient dragonguard I suppose. less stat dense but you don't get cost increase.)
