    1. Did you like the overall visual style of Summerset (color palette, architecture, gear, monsters, landscapes etc)?
    2. Did the environments / cities feel varied and unique, or repetitive?

I have some issues with the Architecture.Visually look great. My problem isn't that the Summerset architecture is lore-breaking. The issue is that it's boring and generic. and the other issue is that Summerset zone is too small. The whole island should have contain atleast two zones big as Glenumbra.

    4. Did you like the portrayal of the Altmer? Did you find them interesting and/or unique?
ESO revealed to us that the Altmer civilization is not so magical, They live their lives almost exactly like medieval fantasy humans. They are just fancier Bretons. No magic in heir daily lives, no atronachs doing laber no weird science. The Altmer can't even build cities the like the Dunmer .

    3. What did you think about the story and characters?]

I do not have problem with deadcric plots and etc. but I want more down to earth politics in the chapters. Summerset was not about the Island of Alinor. It was about the Nocturnal invasion and the Psijic order.Orsinium dlc is the best DLC an…

I was super disappointed with the architecture. That is why I dind't buy it, and played it a year later through Plus.

Totally opposite here...I loved the architecture

It was nice, indeed, but not elvish/fantastical at all. Just a mix between breton and roman/imperial architecture. Not lore-fitting at all, imo. I expected way more from the supposedly "most magical" mer in all of Tamriel. They artistic choice was a huge mistake.

Aside from Orsinium, which still had the most engaging and interesting story, helped by the fact it wasn't another large scale save the world plot, Summerset was great. I feel it had a better story than Morrowind. Morrowind felt short if you just did the main quest. If you're like me and do all the sidequests around the zone before getting to freaking Barilzar's tower then you'll realize how quick and short the main quest is.

Summerset's story felt longer and had more twists and turns than Morrowind. And while Morrowind captivated many because of nostalgia, Summerset was new and interesting. Many people complain the architecture wasn't as described in some lore books, crystal towers and such, but I'm okay with it. Would have liked to see more of the outlandish lore thrown in, like the leylines and what not also mentioned in the more in depth lore.

But Summerset as a whole was more enjoyable than Morrowind. I like more coastal, sea side environments personally so this was a big treat for me.

    Good points

    1 Looks great, very distinctive
2 Six decent, very different delves. A cut above previous ones.
3 I like the geysers as an alternative to dolmens
4 I like both the Public Dungeons
5 Cloudrest is a good trial. I like the whole +1, +2, +3 idea it introduced.
6 Relequen’s is still the best stamina gear set
    7 Good main story
8 Map is more cleverly thought out and practical than either Morrowind (a loop round an impassable volcano) or Elsweyr (a loop around an impassable slit in the ground). Good weyshrines make getting around easier

    Mixed

1 World bosses are (still) buggy and confusing - what are the mechanics for the B’kora Sea Sload for instance. None of them are as clear and well thought out as the two Murkmire World Bosses
2 Poor long term playability, with the exception of Cloudrest. Would I rather send a new character through Summerset than, say, the DC questline or Morrowind? I don’t think so.
3 Crafting area is actually thought out (although not a patch on Vivec City)

    Bad

1 Psijiic Order skill line and quest are an abomination. Like the Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild skill lines there seems little point in their existence. The process of acquiring the skill line is so utterly mindless and unenjoyable that it could easily have been designed as a stalking horse for Crown Store skills sales (if only it wasn’t so utterly unuseful).
2 Jewellry Crafting is utter garbage. A year after launch it is still a deeply flawed skill line. I know people who have been at it since day 1 and have only acquired enough gold tempers to transmute one item. In a year.
    3 I hate Indriks.
4 The lag in Alinor. A year on and my FPS still crashes to low single figures every time I ride through that central part

Overall, a good fun chapter. Not the best, but not as bang average, unadventurous and rushed out as Elsweyr.

The soundscapes and music are very good, it's pretty, and the new wildlife has lots of cool detail. I like Summerset. It isn't what I was hoping for, but the Elder Scrolls universe is like that.

Scaling for the geysers and world bosses was a huge leap forward. I wish they'd go back and re-do base zone WBs and dolmens with whatever formula Summerset introduced.

    The main quest was terrible.

I don't remember seeing anything definitive about the size of the map. It felt small, but it also felt better than Vvardenfell, where so much of the landscape was inaccessible set-dressing. Artaeum, though: way too small and lacking in detail. We're not meant to linger there or go back when we're done with the quests, and that seems like a missed opportunity for series fans and RPers. Eyevea II.

I find the zone itself fairly bland. It's very pretty, but it all looks the same. I get that there'd be a similar architecture across the zone, but the landscape looks the same.

I am not a huge quester and had avoided the Summerset questline in particular because starting the Psijic quest involves starting that, and I loathe the Psijic grind. I had no desire to continue the main quest based on that.

I ended up becoming interested in and completing the Clockwork City quest last week, and I really ended up liking Sotha Sil. I decided to continue on with the Summerset main quest and I’m actually enjoying the hell out of it. The Spiral Skein was spectacular and I’ve actually laughed out loud at Darien a few times (we’ve got plans after the quest ends, actually ;) ). Currently in the Evergloam, which is one of my favorite atmospheres.

I’ve done Cloudrest on norm so many times that it’s become a total bore, but I don’t find it as torturous as Sunspire. I sometimes join a vCR + 2/3 progression group, and it’s a lot more interesting on normal, and definitely satisfying when you complete it on vet.

If you’d asked me this last week my response would have been very different. But I’m liking it more and more as I work through the quest.

I love this zone. I was a bit disappointed they couldn't secure the Becks for the queen again but overall summerset was a better zone.
