Yet another flaw in the game.

Here on PS4 NA you can get that for 10k at many shops. Why? Most of the players have been cheating and exploiting a glitch that caused them to get around 10 skulls per minute. People in my guild told me about this. Because of this glitch, people have been getting skulls at ridiculous rates and getting tons of rare items for almost no work.
This has made me livid. I loathe exploits and cheats. And I refuse to cheat. So I am playing the game legitimately and getting punished for it. As a trader, I have done a lot of hard work getting rare items but cannot sell them for anything because so many people have cheated that you can find those recipes in the shops for like 10k. Most new, rare items are selling for 10k or less.
Hard work deserves suitable reward. I don't want to oversell, and I don't want to undersell. I just want items to be priced reasonably.
Because these people cheated, me and everyone else who refuses to cheat now gets nothing for all the work we did. I've stopped doing anything with this festival now and am just leveling up toons. So disappointed.
I'm talking about this from a trader's perspective, but the fact of the matter is that many people cheated to get those hoards of skulls. They went against TOS. This is unacceptable, and their rewards should be revoked. I wish ZOS would do something about it, but they won't. I submitted a ticket with all the information I could glean about the exploit, but I don't know everything because I never went there or did it. I was as detailed as I could be, but the damage has been done. It won't be fixed.

You can't change @accountname. You can change character name, but @accountname stays the same, as it should.

You absolutely can change your @ name. I know multiple people who have done so at one point or another. Although if you have added someone to ignore you will still have them on ignore under the new name even after they've changed it.
On topic, pay attention when you are making your trades and you'll be fine. Item icons in ESO are all fairly unique and scamming someone by swapping the item for another one with a similar icon is not easy. Don't spam that "confirm" button.

How do you change @accountname?? Do you send in a ticket to ZOS and ask them too? Because it's zos' system so technically they can do anything if they want to.

Im always super tediously thorough with trades, always hover over the items inspecting them in detail. But how do you change @accountname?? Do you send in a ticket to ZOS and ask them to? Because it's zos' system so technically they can do anything if they want to.

You can change your account name by just logging into your account online, and entering your password

whoops im sorry I was certain you couldnt change it, but there it is, right there. Not that I'd want to. I guess I was simply assuming it to be that way.
I haven't seen that recipe on any traders for less than 150k (there have probably been some, but no doubt snatched up quick). If someone is advertising for 1/2 the going price, that's a hint to be on alert.
It was my own fault for not checking.
Someone advertised Pack Leader Broth recipe in chat for sale. Once we met up for the trade, I offered the agreed upon amount of gold of 75k. He leaves his side of the trade blank until I have shown the money.
He takes ages to submit the item and ended up giving me a single broth drink instead of the recipe.
Yes I should have double checked but I was in a rush to play some other games with my Nephew. Just wanted to remind people to be careful!
P.S I’m not giving tips. Don’t try this method or simply don’t scam. It’s very easy to get caught!

Dont know how you got the icons of a recipe and a drink mixed up
It wasnt anything clever, you just werent careful enough to read and recognize an easy to see scam

People tend to link the item when selling as its just easier than typing it out, so its usually obvious what you're getting. Cant remember the last time I saw someone trying to sell in zone without providing a link.
