How are sorcerer as a healer?

I'm used to playing as a sorcerer dps, but I don't really like the changes in dragonhold and thought I might try healing for a while.
I can't recall I've seen many sorcerer healers in raids, mostly Templars and Wardens. Are sorcerers viable for all content as a healer?

✭✭✭✭✭They heal fine. I do not think they are on par with a Warden and certainly not a Templar but they can still heal just fine.1 -

✭I'm in the same boat I've thought about making my main sorc a healer I have all the gear on my templar healer. with the buff to the heal the pet gives this patch sorc healer should be pretty good especially in heavy mag groups.Xbox One - NA GT: RebornV3x

✭The difference between a good and a not-quite-as-good player pressing the buttons is still way larger than the difference in healing performance between classes. I have a healing profile for my sorc character, even though she was built for damage and solo play. Makes it easier to mix and match for dungeon runs. I am not comfortable taking my sorc healer to a vet trial, but that's probably just because I am more used to the "busy healing" role with my Templar. I'm sure a sorc healer could be perfectly viable in vet trials if you learn to play it well.
Whether you would be allowed in trial groups or not is another matter. With friends, I bet you could prove yourself and have a really nice experience. With vet trial pugs announced in Craglorn zone chat, however, don't be surprised if people just dismiss you out of hand and go with the "safe bet" of picking a Warden or a Templar healer instead. (It's not really a safe bet - I have seen enough bad Templar and Warden healers to confidently say what I did in the first sentence.)

Kerioko✭✭✭✭I have mained a sorc healer for years and completed a lot of endgame content with her.
Setup is basically the same as most healers, carry a set of all the heal support gear and mix n match based on group needs.
My standard gear setup is infallibile, SPC, and trollking. This is mainly for vet pug dungeons and pug triials as the setup allows me to adjust skills around to focus more toward dps or healing depending on the group. I run shock/resto, but also carry an ice staff for those fake tank groups.
Overall, I find sorc very capable if you want a solid healer that can easily swap to a dps spec. It is very successful in vet dungeons and vet trials It is also very solid in small group PVP and BGs where you can run the bird. With that said, I would not recommend it for main healer in zerg groups or for leaderboard HM trials. Konstant_Tel_Necris✭✭✭✭✭Bad on group support in compare to other classes, and with changes to minor vulnerability and off balance concussion from sorcerer become less usable.
If Charged Storm Atronach could give major berserk synergy for all team members in radius of his AoE pulse on synergy activate that's would bring some support to sorc healers and tanks, it can do less damage by itself and have smaller buff uptime due pulsing in compare to Greater Storm Atornach who will continue to have it on duration, that's will bring Charged Storm Atronach into utility category, its will be good trade off for better group support.
Just remember Warden Sleet Storm gives major protection for all team members, and don't require synergy, Necromancer Frozen Colossus improve damage of all team members, and don't require synergy, Templar Nova improve defense for all team members, and give it on synergy.0 -

They are really good in dungeons because they help a lot with DPS.0
