During the weekend with all the issues ZOS said they would look into possibly extending the event. Is there any word on this? Or any other form of compensation?

    The game has been buggy for 5 years.
    The game has been buggy for each event over the past 5 years.
    Someone always asks for compensation.
    Zos doesn't compensate.
    Most likely won't extend.

    Give them a chance! The devs' working week has hardly begun. I suspect that a lot of them will also be due some time off to make up for the hours they put in over the weekend.

    Gina did post that they would be looking to extend the event for a couple days. Do not see an official announcement however

    Indeed. It was mentioned once and then nothing more on it..

    Not yet. I suspect they want to make sure the servers are stable for realz, this time before they announce any compensation/event extensions.

    You better dont have high hopes, i am still waiting for the compensation they promised after the the Undaunted Celebration Event disaster 2 years ago :wink:

    Indeed. I'm still waiting for the box we as EU missed out on from 3 years ago. They promissed they would look into it. Never heard from ZoS about that box again.

    Its common sense to see the full scope of the issues before deciding how much compensation/event extension is needed, yeah?

    Considering that Gina Bruno just acknowledged that the long loading screens are back, their wisdom in waiting to make sure the servers are actually stable for realz this time seems unfortunately apt.

    Maybe that's the answer to game lag? Constant nerfs means less people playing means less stress on the servers. It's a plan that works!

    Ah, that? I don't know that I recall other promises of compensation. IIRC, there were a few times when ZOS extended events due to major EU issues like the 2018 Anniversary Event, and once they gave out free crown crates when an extended Steam outage happened over a "kill a thing for a crate" promotion.

    Another important thing to remember is that this event is tied to the #SlayDragonsSaveCats giveaway because of the tickets. ZOS can't just decide to extend the event- they have to run it by Bethesda and the lawyers first.

    Yes, and its even stickier because PC/EU hasnt had the same opportunities for tickets as the other servers when the issues have prevented logging in at all.

    Its tied to the sweepstakes portion of the promotion, similar to last year's sweepstakes.

    "Bonus Entries: Eligible players can earn up to ten (10) bonus entries by acquiring Indrik Feathers and Indrik Berries during all five Q4 in-game events."

    So I guess as long as all players have been/will be theoretically able to acquire 100 tickets by the end, the sweepstakes won't be impacted. I don't know how many tickets you can get total starting from Dragon Rise.

    please no! extending the event is extending problems!

    that's the inverse of a compensation.

    I was watching a Twitch stream last night and Rich Lambert popped in. The streamer asked if the event would be extended. His response was "We haven't announced it." The implication (by the streamer, not Rich) being they haven't announced it "yet."

    By NO means should anyone take this as confirmation. So please don't anyone go around spreading "Well Rich Lambert said..." because he didn't. In so many words.

    But I am hopeful we will get an official word soon.
