Nope, not a problem for me. I enjoy it when the patch notes can make me chuckle, and I like people sharing their sense of humor. Corporations try too hard to avoid showing any personality, so I think it's great when a company gives their employees some freedom to be human.

I think it's safe to say that there's been zero ill intent in anything posted in the patch notes, so I don't understand why anyone would be upset.

I find it refreshing and humorous. Most companies take themselves too seriously. We really need to cancel "Cancel Culture". Or would that be offensive?

What if they had more of a professional attitude towards things instead of sitting there for 20 minutes thinking of quirky joke to say, maybe more work could be done on the EU server?

Many people can actually make jokes on the fly, like they just spontaneously occur to them in realtime while speaking or typing.

That aside, you realize the people writing the patch notes and dealing with the forum are not the people who work on the servers, right? Like they have different employees who do different things in different departments, and the technical working-on-servers part is not the typing-up-patch-notes part.

Love them, keep up the good work!

When the Natch Potes get released I read them all start to finish, the funny little inserts break up the read.

You're not being serious, are you? I can never tell anymore who's trolling and who's legitimately confused about the way the world works. This should clear it up.

Op is the kind of person that writes a letter to an Infomercial studio, complaining about a comment made in one of the 2am infomercials that they didn't like.

Notes are not all written by 1 person. They get emails and then compiled and cleaned up by the person who does the patch notes, it's not exactly clear who writes jokes. They are even sometimes in the developer notes, so obviously the developers are writing jokes too.

And it's pretty clear that the work place has a joke like matter towards things sometimes if you've ever tuned into esolive or other interviews over the years you'd see it too. Regardless I don't care but some stuff should not be joked about & maybe it's not a good idea to joke around when your game is falling to pieces it's not the right attitude to have, I'd be rather embarrassed

True. It is not uncommon to see an attempt at humor, and generally intended corny humor, in patch notes. It is a good thing.

Though I will say I found it funnier someone is calling it unprofessional. LOL

It was a joke. These are video game patch notes - not a State of the Union Address.

    Relax.
