how to log out while out of the game?

i noticed that everytime i get an infinite load screen and got removed from the game, that my character stays logged in the game for 50 minutes.

i think that this might be the problem why we can't log in again. i'm constantly receiving the message "Error 304 - This account is already logged in" for 50 minutes after i get out of the game.

so... i think it would help if zos change that pathetic 50 minutes wait time to 5 minutes, it would be fair.

in alternative... anyone already tried to change the password? will it remove the character from the game?

PLease checkk that you have a VALID Internet connection.

Well I was having a similar issue on my Mac this week. It would crash but I could still hear the game running in the background even though the computer thought it was closed. When I tried to log back in it said I was already online.

I had to use an Activity Monitor utility to actually close the app (and log me off). I am guessing you are on a PC? Maybe you have a similar utility?

oh! interesting. so there is a way to log out while out of the game.

Doesn't make sense actually. If you normally get kicked out of game after 20-30 minutes for inactivity, then why would you still be logged into the game 50 minutes after being removed from infinite load screen?

Well you have to close the process manually then, Windows has some tools for it - but i dont remember the english word -.-

You have to go to your Task Manager and manually shut the application...…

However if you are on Windows 10 it may not appear at the top under Apps...…. several times I've had to scroll right down the list to find it hiding down there!

Whether you get disconnected intentionally or not, your character stays logged in for around 15 minutes. Just play something else until that time runs out, you trying to go back in while its still actively in the game may reset it and can extend the timer.
