EU Server down literally after a maintenance patch to fix this... Clueless?

This is getting more and more infuriating. Are the networking guys and developers literally rolling a d20 in the hopes that something works?
It seems like they are grasping at complete and utter straws right now to fix this.
PC EU cannot handle the year's most popular event plus new content launch at the same time. It has failed miserably.
Shut it down and move us all to PC NA.
