Ive played many games in which the server performance was shaky the first few days after a major update. A lot of people log in at the same time because " NEW SHINIES!!!" so everyone wants to get in and check it out and see the changes. So the server has issues with the load at first and then it gradually calms down over a couple of weeks as people go back to their normal playing schedule.
Lets be melodramatic over not being able to play for a few hours out of the ~ 720 hours in a month. Go take a nap and stay up later tonight to make up for it. Boom! problem solved.

Honeybunny, US server is fine. EU has been hell for a while now. Have you ever tried out Cyro in the weekend?
You signed the ToS so unfortunately, you have no recourse concerning down-times.
Not trying to tell anyone what they should or shouldn't do here but a responsible consumer might consider to not continue paying for a broken product or service.

Hey everyone.
ESO+ is obvoiusly a great thing - all DLC content besides Elsweyr chapter, craft bag, more bank space etc.
The problem is, with current server status and a maintenance every 3 days, I can't really enjoy its benefits.
IMO it would be nice from ZOS to appreciate those people who pay for ESO+ and compensate somehow.
I'm not talking about regular maintenances. My problem is with an out-of-schedule maintenances like today and really bad server performance, when I spent more time on a loading screen than actually playing (and battleground was just impossible to play).

Yeah, this is the problem.
It's no good blaming new content (even if it is poorly timed to coincide with an event), when the server in one location is fine and the one in another isn't.

except i wasnt blaming content, i was blaming the inconsistency with which people in the EU log on to their server. Because they SPIKE login after patches and at the beginning of events, it drives the server load up to a point of instability. We dont seem have the same problem on NA. This happens every year. The EU server always has frequent problems in the fall and winter because of heavy random server loads.
Could ZOS do a better job at predicting, patching, and keeping server performance up? Absolutely, but that costs more money.
Could players whine less about temporary server problems? Absolutely, but they like to complain about everything.
I came back to this game 5 days ago after being away a few months and 95% of the first 3 pages was whining threads about the game and that was when servers were fine. It was like sitting in a daycare right before nap time. People complain about literally everything in the game. I dont understand, if the game is so frustrating and so aggravating then go play another game? Most of the criticism i see is not constructive, just whining.

So you're whining about people whining? You're criticizing people giving ZOS feedback on their official forums. You know, where devs look for feedback. They're not doing a very good job so obviously they're getting complaints while the game patches on a weekend and it's constantly unavailable for EU customers.
