    Achievements in BGs...

    Capture 250 flags
Capture 125 flags in Crazy King
    Kill 100 Relic holders
    Capture 100 Relics

Mostly around the 100 mark apart from the 250 overall flags which isnt unreasonable since they are a objective... BUT wait...

Get 500 finishing blows defending flags...

Do the devs even play this game? You want people to get 500 defensive finishing blows in a game which is filled with 4 man balls.. all tanks.. all healing each other playing ring around the rosey capping flags.. This achievement is so much slower than the other numbered achievements to obtain and its so painful because its capture the flag... not wait at a flag vsing 4 man tank/healers who cant kill but take almost no damage while you are useless to your team and bored out of your mind trying to pick off a stray kill here and there from a sweaty group of people playing pve pvp capping flags not getting kills... Also why 500? The others are 100 mostly and you just five times it in the one thats the most painful and slow already?...

No way the people who make this game actually play it... the achievements have gotten worse and worse as time goes on...

I think you are grossly misunderstanding the point to achievements...

He does, he thinks this Mario bros. Sorry man, this game is designed to last more then 8 hours

Yea when I had 96% of all achievements before I stopped being an achievement hunter I did achieve it all in just 8 hours. In fact I felt like getting 96% of every achievement in 8 hours was too slow before you told me how I felt about time and how long it should take.

Hmm I have changed my opinion 100% after you made me realize my 96% of all achievements was too fast. It really should take more than the 8 hours. Since you alerted me to the fact I just want things fast. You know. Thank you.

    Genuinely.

So you're an achievement hunter with 96% of the achievements but you dont understand why the battleground achievements are the set the way they are????? I'll take things that never happened for 500 Alex.

Also you were an achievement Hunter that stopped at 96% XD?????? Bro, next time you lie make it a *** good one. I don't believe that you were gunning for 100%, made it to 96% then quit because BGs was a grind. That's *** ridiculous.

You honestly dont read I guess..

I stopped at 96% at housing. It was a while ago. I still have like 75-80% today since I stopped.. due to having so much back before I stopped.. I can even provide a photo if you care that much..

I also never said I stopped due to bgs. Once again you didnt read...

You are both not reading and missing my points.. My reply to you was just to signify how silly it is to imply I wanted things done in 8 hours or fast when I was willing to do 96% already. Which would show I am more than willing to take time.. thus how you are missing the point..

I cant explain this in any more simple terms.. you have to be trying to not understand haha.

I mean it's not complicated to understand you had 96% of the achievements pre housing then you stopped being an achievement hunter. What is weird is that you find the BG grind for achievements to be stupid but you were ok with things like the Grand Overlord requirements, the Master Fishing Requirements, and the Black Market Mogul achievement. I don't know, just kinda weird that for someone willing to grind all of those other achievements to see 500 Defensive kills and just throw up the white flag and give up.

I have problems with the Mogul one because I find the achievement is still going way after any normal persons ability to enjoy thieving has expired. I only dont like some of the achievements from BG's. The far majority of them are designed fine imo.

That flag was defiantly up before BGs even came into the game. As soon as I logged in after the housing update tbh.

I am fine with long and difficult (thats what she said) achievements. I am just talking about unreasonably tedious ones. Fishing was awful also. Most people take far less time to get it than I did. I used 21K bait. With a avg cast time of like 12 seconds I spent like 70 hours to get the title... Rip lol. I understand they are achievements for a reason but sometimes its just unreasonable.

Often it isnt to do with time etc. Having to spend 14M on houses to get some achievements is also insane. Since often they will remain empty and what does it prove ya know.

I had 20m in cash when housing came out and I was like "nah". I would literally rather keep saving for the sake of its fun to make gold than have empty houses and 14m less haha (I own one house worth 12m but only needed 1).

Once again this is subjective and the worth and time people are willing to put in to each one is different to each person but sometimes I think they are just designed in a way that is tedious. People can disagree but we can all agree that at some point things are unreasonable. In this example people might think 500 finishing blows on captured flags in a game which most people want to be moving as a team to recap things not sitting and defending flags is okay but everyone would agree at some point its unreasonable. 1000? 10000? 1000000? At sine point the achievement becomes unreasonable and im just arguing that 500 is a bit on the unreasonable side especially since similar achievements in BGs are around 100.

What is the point of achievements (in any game) unless you get some kind of desirable reward on completion.

If you have an irrational completist addiction then each to their own.

Only exception is for harder end game content such as vet trials, vet DSA etc where the achievement becomes proof of competency.

I understand your comment and partial agree.

Especially since I have stopped being an achievement hunter. However I still respect the achievement hunting community. I personally try and treat it like anything I dont find interesting in real life. I may not enjoy it but other people do so I respect it.

I personally only play now to earn every bust (do all content at least once), unlock every housing achievement item (Only have pvp ranks to go), obtain the hardest skin, have BIS gear and to have every dye (only pvp ranks to go). I see issues with a lot of other achievements but if they dont give a housing item or dye I just ignore them. *edit* I also finish all zones quests and story / explore 100% of each zone etc.

It was actually pretty lucky that the vSS HM achievement statues could be obtained fairly easily because I dont run in any proper trial guilds nowadays. I thought id have to rejoin a proper trial guild to obtain them (which would of been fine) but it saved me a lot of time being able to just join a discord group to get them.

I guess this is similar to pvp issues. I personally dont care much for pvp but when I hear people have complaints in regards to pvp I understand why they would care. Just a different reason of playing.

Why do you want to get the achievement for tomorow ? It is supposed to take years to get hard achievements.

The achievement where you have to take capture points in Crazy King/ Domination isn't really that big of a deal, just a bit time consuming. The other achievements you list all has their individual flaws.

One thing that would definitely improve the QoL in BG is to add an option to specifically join for the BG mode you want. You've that option if you want to play deathmatch but as soon as I want to for any of the other modes I'm forced into some pseudo RNG and hope that I might get the mode I'm after.

Let me pick the mode I want to play.

The thing about those achievements are just so you have a long time commitment to play bgs.

Its interesting you say that because I actually made a post about that exact issue. When I was getting my relic hunter achievement I was having to rng into 2 games. If it was not the one I needed I would just leave and get the 20 minute cool down. I used it as forced mini work out sessions. So it kind of worked out but I could see why people dont like it.

Me personally? I commented why I play the game above which will explain it. I dont think this BG achievement has been implemented as a "years to get" or "hard" achievement. Its not like a hard trial achievement which only a small portion of the game community will ever obtain or anything. It also is very similar to other BG achievements however they 5x its length. If anything it would make more sense to either make all the similar numbered achievements 500 or make it more inline with the others.

Yeah.. Can't imagine an angry German kid playing Tetris or Super Mario that way.. Games content was constant! No nerfs, no DLC, no Dragons, no bosses you have to hit for half a day. It was that simple - you are the Prince, you've got 3 lives and 1 hour to save the Princess. They hit you - you're dead, you hit them - they're dead. Hubba-hubba!..

Because, once upon a time, no achievement-system existed and people used their imagination and individual perspective for what actually constituted success in a game for them.
And even later, as they were a thing, most people still had enough patience to wait for it to actually be complete instead of becoming neurotic about it for some in-game reward.

Not every achievement is made the same, some are meant to be harder then others. If we took your thinking why don't we put all the achievements to 100 and make no achievements for vet content because some people could see that level of play as unreasonable? It's an Achievement, its supposed to be something you work hard for and not get after 10min og game play.

Yea its annoying when you can finish master angler in 10 minutes... That's defiantly the argument I was making and not disingenuous at all.

You keep harping on the 10minutes thing and disregarding everything else I've said. Probably because you're wrong, you know you're wrong, and you can refute it.

Keep trying to convince me that 500 BG kills is that hard though.
