Couldn't bother to actually watch the video, I just pulled those off his key frames. There was a lot of whining about how he wasn't sure if he wanted to keep playing, how the changes to the game were coming too fast, how he didn't know what was in the pipeline even though we've been told about it, crying about changes designed to improve class identity, while also demanding more class identity, leading me to wonder if he actually understands the words, "class identity," of if he's just parroting them off.

I am very interested - my skills do not work 4 month.

I do not ask add me damage, make me better class or etc.

I just want to know, will my skill Moltan Armament be fixed? It does not work correct 4 month with lightning staff.

Now it is buged with restoration staff.

I already do not care will it be fixed or not - i JUST want to know - will it be or not !!!

Do i need level up another class or wait ???

I am ignored and even can not get any information will my skills work ???

In patch notes it is info that they fix it but on live i get 0% add to heavy attack with restro for example.

Not 50%, not 15% like necromancer have just from 1 passive and he had 3 like that.

    I get 0%.

I ask you ZOS, pls give me any information about when skill just start working.

I do not ask for nerfs, buffs.

Just when my skills start work !!!

    What's wrong with Molten Armaments?

It have to add 50% dmg to fully charged heavy attack.

    But it give 0%.

    For example with restoration staff.

It is so big % , that even all ither classes have better heavy attack ... As example necro : 15% add to all dot damage, 3 hits of lightning staff or all restro hits calculate as dots, he have 1500 penetration and crit on low hp.

And i have 0% add !!! Zero !!! Not my 50% but 0%, and this skill do not work correct for ages already !!!

I write about it, write to ZOS, in each topic = i get ignored everywhere.

I just want to get information and do not be ignored !!!

    Yeah, not missing much, @Katahdin.

Welp, I watched the video. Odd how it was all to the tune of this guy soloing Veteran Vaults of Madness on a magic templar. I don’t agree with most anything in the video.

Better communication? They put patch notes, PTS notes, have freaking tv show. How much more do you want?

Slow the changes. I guess kind of maybe a little. They explained it as making big swings to really see significant change and adjust from there. At least on the PTS notes.

Community events and rewards. Okay. Coming in to this time of the year, you know we’re gonna get flooded with events and stuff to do. It’s nice to have a break from these things. I get overwhelmed when there’s too much stuff going on I want to take part in. I think many do. So, they’re already kind of doing that in my mind.

Class identity. Okay. The video was centered around a magic templar soloing a veteran 4 person dungeon. Constantly jabbing away, using some big glowy Healy hurty circle thingy; throwing some light spear; small make me tough circle; swinging some giant light rod ultimate; and the class defining skill Jesus Beam. How much more class identity do you need? For real. Makes me want to learn magic templar.

The Roadmap. These get introduced at the right time imo. We’re coming down from a whole year of the dragon now. We don’t even have dragonhold on console yet. This guy was on XBox btw. Let’s have some time to get through some stuff before the next thing gets introduced.

Haven't watched, not going to, but going off this list.
    1) Agreed, they could be better at talking though considering how much anyone official gets jumped on and insulted as soon as they say anything I understand why not. Not to mention that this community doesn't seem to get that it is not in the devs' job description to talk to us.
    2) No actually. Assuming they have somewhere in mind with where they're going (see 5 for more) then it's pretty clear that it entails a major overhaul of everything. I'd much rather they just get that over and done with rather than prolonging the chaos by dragging them out. But then I was always 'rip off the band aid' type of person.
    3) Aren't they already doing that?
    4) Considering what most people on here want that to mean, please no.
    5) I'd settle for an end destination. I'm assuming this is going somewhere and I'd really like to know where that is supposed to be. Don't much care if they explain the particulars of how they'll change things or in which order to get there, as long as I knew where "there" was. (But see 1 for why they may not.)

    Yeah, not missing much, @Katahdin.

The video is wrong. Zos is implementing a "vission" for combat in this game. It makes no sense to draw it out over several years. It really seems the person in that video has not paid attention to the communication Zos has given us.

Zos should have ripped the band aid off and rolled out all changes at once if they truly felt they thought through this new vision. My concern with them rolling it out as slow as they are is they really lack confidence in their own process of creating this new "vision". Much of my doubt comes from the poor history of Matt Firor's leadership from the awful rollout of the game to the original CP design released.

But Zos needs to get these changes done instead of the half ass means that is giving us all a huge does of change fatigue. Not spread it out even longer.

The rest of the points are good. However, they only provide 4 points. The first and the last are the same thing since giving us a roadmap is communicating with us. Zos has failed with worthy communication since the game launched. They have admitted as much numerous times and each time said they were working to improve that to no avail. Again, another hallmark of the amazing leadership from Matt Firor.

    Yeah, not missing much, @Katahdin.

Frankly, he did a better job explaining class identity than ZoS did in there class identity PR fluff piece article. He talks about the classes having different passives and skills that make them feel and play different - not that every class is homogenized to have the same skills with different names.

He is also right about the changes coming too fast and being too much of a swing. The class reps recently gave this feedback to ZoS as "change fatigue". Quite honestly, this is the number one factor causing players to hang it up on ESO right now for reasons he states at the beginning of this video - you spend the time farming the gear and learning/perfecting a new rotation only to have it completely wiped out the next patch. So player attitudes have become "what's the use". Why put your time into something that isn't going to matter in three months.

Not quite. When U24 PTS Patch Notes hit is became very clear to a lot of people that the combat team does not have a vision, much less a plan.

When you spent time telling people how you did an "audit" and you were going to be working towards the goals this audit entailed. In U23 you up DoTs by a significant margin then in U24 you dial them back by a significant margin.

It doesn't take a software developer to see this is a clear indicator they haven't got any sort of plan or end goal. They are just going to keep upending things every patch because there is no vision or end goal in mind.

Furthermore, listening to the comments on the live stream there was a reason they were asked at the end if they even play the game because the reasoning behind some of these changes makes no sense and it is happening every patch. Here are a few examples:

1.) Race changes were supposed to make it so each alliance had clear choices depending on class like DC did. Altmer were ALWAYS a magicka class. So you give them a passive which restores their lowest resource - so in most cases Stamina... on a magicka class with a magicka race. Yeah, in what world did this make sense?

2.) Changes to Living Dark. Did you hear the developer comments on the reasoning for this skill change? They wanted a skill that would cause people to back off. The skill in not a PvE skill, it is a PvP one. So you make a skill in an environment where the game is about beating on people to cause people to not beat on you. Otherwise known as an anti-PvP skill.

3.) DoT changes. Nice that they dialed these up but didn't think that they should also adjust the counters. PvP is about action-counter action. All they did was make the action.

4.) Class Identity with Stone Fist. Let's see, a DK in known as an in your face class that lays down dots. So we give them an expensive ranged spammable in this update, which is neither in your face or a DoT. Then we give it this silly condition where you have to hit with it three times to stun. This skill is so anti-DK it makes no sense whatsoever.

This is why so many are frustrated. Not only are the swings from patch to patch extreme, what they are putting in place doesn't even make a lot of sense or hasn't been thought through.

That it's entirely possible the channeled heavy attacks are treated differently by MA than the charged heavy attacks. I thought that was clear.
