Dragonhold question re: stamina and vma staves

Hey everyone,
I've been off ESO for a while and the last thing I remember is the first patch notes from Dragonhold coming out and throwing everyone in a tizzy. One thing that sounded simultaneously *horrible* and *loads of fun* was a post I can't seem to find about stam characters sustaining and hitting at the top of their dps outputs using an inferno staff on the back bar.
Did that wind up making it into live? If so, can anyone share their experience? Was kind of looking forward to having it as an option. I've tried (and failed) to make hybrids in the past.

✭✭✭No, I think they may actually have realized how bad it was that THAT was the best DD combo. DoTs are still nerfed, but they adjusted things so the nerfs weren't so severe. Back to a bow back bar.0 -
Joxer61✭✭✭✭✭you can do it, some have tested.....I know one for sure that did and yea, it "worked" but not really a road to go down. But I reckon someone might reply who has done it and might be able to help ya out, one way or the other.

✭✭✭✭✭I wondered about that, too. I don't think the bow skills are a huge part of DPS anymore, so vMA staves might be a viable alternative. They boost your #1 damage source, i.e. light attacks, and help with sustain. DoT damage wasn't buffed by that much after these hybrid builds showed up on PTS, I don't think they are that far behind.
You should also consider which bow you want to replace. Master bow is probably still better, but I'm unsure about maelstrom bow. Poison Injection might not even be worth using without a masters right now.Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?

it's not.
1) if you have masters bow, use PI as part of your rotation for a slight dps boost [1-2k]
2) if you don't, only use PI during execute
3) or just skip it and make your rotation easier and spend more time using executioner.GH / 3/04/2021 / Elemental Catalyst Necromancer1
