just create characters over and over again and live in the bgs?

i swear over the years when im leveling a new character i see the same names in bgs...is this a thing?

do they were all impen too?

Well, it's one of the most efficient ways to level, right? Because you get the XP, Alliance skills unlocked (vigor!), skill points for increasing both level and alliance rank, and plenty of AP to blow on the Golden Vendor for whenever the stuff your characters need eventually goes on sale. Plus, PVP has a pretty high learning curve, so practice never hurts.

As for impen, yep, anyone who already understands PVP knows to wear impen, and the cheesiest getup currently possible.

Absolutely a thing; although as with all extremes, the more extreme it gets the rarer it is. So it's definitely more common to have people who make new chars and play baby BGs regularly with decent impen leveling gear, than people who completely 'live' there as you put it and take things to the next level (gold gear, highly coordinated premades, maybe low level monster sets now?). But the latter still exists, and it feels like half of them wear Sloads.

I use it to level characters sometimes, yet I see some names that play under 50 battlegrounds/cyro religiously. It's been my assumption that they're simply... not good enough for even no cp/cp

By this, I know of one person, he who shall not be named.. I've seen them go through at least 30+ characters in the past year and a half solely in under 50 content.

(Knowledge of this from said person being on friends list, and encountering said person time and time again, I can be running by the battlegrounds area *certain EP area* and this guy will be outside of it, every night, with a different under 50 character with various PVP titles.)

On one note: Run crafted sets, have them in impen, it's easy to farm players for AP, but is it really warranted to make all that crafted gear (and for some) potentially gold it out and make it a real 'sweaty hour'? No.. Those people are funny to watch. I have countless screenshots from under 50 games where I made players like that rage because I threw on some cheesy sets with impen in blue/purple and just happened to out-play/skill them.

Your best bet is if that's the style of PVP you like, under 50. Play something cheesy. (Stamsorc WW, MagSorc, Magblade), Pick up high damage crafted gear, put that in impen, buy your purple buff food, and out-sweat the sweat-stains that take under 50 religiously.

It is quite possible that one of the names you recognise feels the same about your name being in the mix there.

I use low level BG to get the transmute gems these days, way nicer then trying to solo cyro resources since they patched cyro a while back. I keep wanting to go back to cyro but have no reason these days unless it's to speak to the ole golden.

Battlegrounds below level 50 are just a huge pain in the ***. If you are level 10, there is no way you can compensate for the skills a level 45 has unlocked in that regard.
