Player Confidence Booster: Fight without Weapons and Armor

I recently did a "naked world boss" guild run with a low level character on the EU PC server and discovered the joy of fighting hand to hand. Equipped only with my class abilities, some potions, filled soul gems and my bare knuckles, I ran headlong with the rest of my team into the fray of Summerset's world bosses and geysers to deliver a sound thrashing to any and every hostile creature that came my way. Though the carnage was horrifying- seeing so many of my fellow adventurer's sent to Oblivion in so many awful ways; thank Meridia we were able to revive in time before all of us were reduced to piles of ash! Hours later, the day was ours. We celebrated gleefully running naked through the streets of Alinor, much to the horror and delight of the local residents.

Armed with my knowledge of pugilistic combat, I decided to test my mettle solo in various settings and discovered that, yes, you can clear most of the beginner overland content and quests without any weapons or armor. It is an awesome feeling to know this, and will certainly boost your confidence if you give it a try. For those who are shy, or bashful, just put a costume or disguise on. But do try to get as far as you can fighting only with your class abilities, world skills (like soul trap, werewolf, and vampire), and unduanted skills. Your understanding of the game's combat system will be forever altered. Cheers!

    Or simply try PvP...
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

The last thing I need is a confidence booster vs. basic overland content. :D
Good on ya for finding some unusual fun in the game tho, it sounds like you and your guildies had a hoot. :)

We did! I don't think I laughed that much for a long time. Everyone was laughing and making funny comments while trying not to die! The only way to play.

My guild tried doing a dolmen and a world boss, bare knuckles and naked and without any spells. Empty bars, no gear, no weapons. Only unarmed light attacks, heavy attacks, blocking and dodging allowed. And running. There was quite a lot of running involved.

Plain health potions were allowed, to reduce the drain on soul gems, but that was it. It took quite a while to grind down the millions of HP on the world boss, but the dolmen fight was perfectly doable and very enjoyable with 16 people pummeling the daedra. We were of course dying left and right, but not nearly as often as we had feared.

During the dolmen fight, we had a few random players showing up, at first wondering what was going on, but then ending up undressing and joining the naked fist fight. It was absolutely hilarious.

Following that, I decided to try soloing some overland content with the same (lack of) setup. It was doable, but only barely, and it came with the same feeling of being weak as I remember from going into "veteran zones" back in 2014-15, before being properly leveled and geared up for them. I did not die to mudcrabs, but a small pack of wolves definitely presented a challenge.

Can't heal it either. Ignorance, however, is remediable.

Many of my characters live by the mantra "Party naked".

I started with the New Life Festival. It even has an achievement for doing the Nord quest naked.

Next, I decided to try the Jester's Festival. Depending on how many other players are in the delves in Glenumbra, it can take a while to complete that quest. It's still can be fun, however.

Midyear Mayhem is a blast and can be quite challenging in no CP.

The Witch's Festival was fun for this in the beginning but getting 11 other people to run naked through a trial can take a while to set up.

Anyway, have fun and I hope we see more nakedness in Tamriel.
