Dark Water Temple (prologue) bugged

So I entered the temple and can't get back out via the ladder. Furthermore, there are no grapple points that I see from YouTube videos should he there. I'm literally trapped.

✭So that happened to me on the first character I took in there. I ended up fast traveling out to my inn room. You could also pay a few coins and fast travel out to a nearby wayshrine. I was able to get back in from the nearest wayshrine, meet up with the quest giver, and continue with the quest.
On my second character, I found the grapple points and got back to the quest giver without porting out.0
