I was thinking in finally buying it. Till now i buyed every expansion, but all my characters slots are full... do i get a free char slot if i adquire Elsweyr yes or not?
If not then maybe i will just wait till the price goes completly down, because i will not buy a char slot and also not delete, i'm already paying for the expansion, i don't see it right.

I didn't buy it until it was 50% off. It's good, but not $50 good in my opinion. Yes you get a character slot.

I personally liked the story and the zone a lot, but I don't really care for the necro tbh, tried both Stam and mag, but I mostly felt meh (I mostly play PvP) So in the end I would wait for a sale, because you can always do the content at a later time and in the future they hopefully fix every issue with the necro. Will probably take a while like it did with warden

I bought it for the mount and was thoroughly satisfied with the experience and the story. Definitely worth the spend.

I bought it and am happy with the story, quests, etc. I have a necro character just to see how the class plays. It's ok but I still use my warden and stam sorc mostly.

Worth it at half off (or more), would not pay ZOS the full original price (if your Google-fu is decent, you should not have a problem finding it for much less than what ZOS is still charging).

    My opinion:
    - The main story is simplistic and convoluted at the same time. The plot can be summarized as "Good princess retakes her throne from evil queen. Queen had allied with dragons that now need to be fought to provide endless daily quests and a trial. The end." A simple story can be a good story if told well, but in this case, it isn't.
    - The writing is... well, below hobbist in quality. For example, aforementioned cat-girl constantly remembers stuff out of the blue to move the story along. Then you need to go somewhere else. By sheer coincidence, Catwell suddenly appears out of the blue to open a portal to whereever you need to go to. It's a constant stream of deus ex machina moments like that. There's no moral, no plot twist, no message, no supsense. You just tread along to kill stuff and get some skill points.
    - Few memorable characters - in fact, the NPCs we meet barely seem to have any character at all. We meet a cat-girl. She's a princess. She has black fur. She travels along with us. That's it.
    - No humor, or at least none I noticed.
    - Graphics and design are nice. Some great views of ancient temples. Design style is inspired by south-east Asia or India. It helps to suffer through the story - the views are worth it.
    - Necromancer is okayish. Levelled three of them (Stamina DPS, Magicka DPS/Heal, Stamina Tank), went through the Undaunted grind, never touched them since then. In the end, necro feels convoluted and plays strangely clunky; other classes are more fun imo.
    - Nothing new mechanics-wise in the quest area. Dragon, delve and world boss dailies.
    - Dragons look nice, implemented okayish, but nothing to be amazed about.
    - Original sale price is too high. It's a big quest area, but not worth the price of a full AA-title. May be acceptable at discounted price, but buyer beware. I expect they'll give out Elsweyr for free, for Crowns or sth. within a year, as they did with Morrowind, Murkmire and Summerset.

TLDR: If you have other areas to play through, do them first. If you haven't and got money to burn, buy it on sale.

Agree on main quest, was not the best part.
But I truly loved all the side quest I made in Elsweyr ^^
    + lot of beautiful aera.

If you go mostly for exploration and questing, it's nice.
For gear, only Solence is worth it imo so..

Meh, I'd buy on 50% off if you are first worlder, if not wait for when it's buyable with crowns next year. Story is OK, best thing is Abnur, so you will have fun for a few nights with it.

All classes will be disappointing because there's no class identity and there's always BiS skills. New skill lines could be more fun, maybeee.

If you can buy it for sub $15 then sure, otherwise it’s a total rip off.

Minimal content, extremely poorly implemented class (skills still broken btw), no base game content update at all

I enjoyed it. Got quite a bit of gameplay out of it and my Necromancer has become my second favorite character after my main. My main is also my crafter and tank, so it's not an issue with the Necromancer so much as I just have more progress on my Nightblade.

A new class to try and additional character slot. Dragons - totally not dolmens. Another zone with hours worth stuff to do. Less of those pesky wayshrines taking fun out of riding around.

Pretty sure the current cap of 18 applies, so if you are already at 18, you won't go to 19.

I bought it pre-release and have not been disappointed in it.

Regarding your question about the digital collector's upgrade, there are different versions of the game depending on how much you are buying, so read the fine print before you buy to make sure you aren't buying either more or less than you need and want.

One version comes with the base game but none of the extra collectibles. It's for people who don't have the base game yet and who don't care to spend a bit more for the extra collectibles.

One version comes with the base game as well as the collectibles.

One version is just the Elsweyr expansion-- no base game and no collectibles. It's for people who already have the base game and who don't care about the collectibles.

One version is just the Elsweyr expansion but it also includes the collectibles.

I'm not sure if there's a bundle that's just the collectibles-- no Elsweyr and no base game-- for people who bought a version of Elsweyr without the collectibles but who now want the collectibles without having to buy each collectible separately (which usually costs more).

So check carefully to be sure what you're about to buy before you pull the trigger.

Not much meat to it. Expansion usually means expansion of gameplay, but not in this case. Other than necro, you get nothing. I’m not a fan of necro at all, so for me it was an extremely underwhelming release. Compare to summerset where in addition to awesome zone and city, you got jewelry crafting and new skill line. And Alinor is 100x better than Rimmen as a place to park your toons.

Edit: Also, they chopped part of the zone off to intentionally save it for 4th quarter release. Leaves the zone feeling incomplete. Just one meaningful settlement. The stitches is a nice concept but super inconvenient, you never really want to go back. Wayshrines in the zone are a mess, super far from everything.

I'd say buy ESO plus if you not sure what to do. It's more in the long run, but you get much, much more than a single zone access.

I purchased it and have enjoyed it. I've come to appreciate the Khajiit much more (and I'm convinced my cat is a real life Alfiq because she looks like the Alfiq banker!). The dragons surprised me (although less of the surprise one-shot, none-telegraphed stuff would be nice). I've gained two new houses to decorate, lots of furnishing recipes, and I have a feeling the necro is going to become a favourite of mine.

All in all, it was worth it (for me).

Overall, I recommend Elsweyr. Each of us have our own quirks and perceptions when it comes to likes/dislikes but I'll share mine -

    - Main quest. Enjoyable.
    - Side quests. Fun and usually quite engaging with some delightful humor spicing several of them.
    - Terrain, atmosphere, exploration. Nice. I enjoy that the zone is 'navigation friendly', unlike the cliff-blocking navigation unfriendly terrain in Wrothgar, Summerset and Vardenfell.
    - Inhabitants. Friendly, welcoming, fun. Very unlike the pompous Altmer/Dunmer that infest Summerset/Vardenfell who try to so hard to make you hate them. The 'natives' here are nice to talk to and friendly - like the Argonians in Murkmire. It makes me want to help them instead of disliking them.
    - I am a solist so I ignore trials, DLC group dungeons and DLC WBs.
    - Dragons. Did a score or so of them and now ignore them. I deem them guilty of one shot, no or minimal notice mechanics which I will not tolerate. After giving them a fair shot, I consider them not fun and I only do fun stuff.
PC NA(no Steam), PvE, mostly solo
