prices for Pellitine stylepages are currently pretty low, actually just sell one rarely for 28k. Normally this is a dumping price sold in a few hours.
I think once the last ones from the event are sold out, people might be more motivated to farm them again.

I've been seeing this at night pretty much daily since less than a month after the expansion released. The dragon encounters got stale really fast because they are very one-dimensional, highly choreographed, and only happen in the same handful of spots every time, most of which are a pain in the ass to get to on the fly. The mechanics of the encounter itself are a total CF, and what little loot you get just isn't worth it.

They banked too much on the cool factor of the dragons, but the reason dragons in skyrim were so much fun was their inherently dynamic nature. They could land pretty much anywhere, which lent a great deal of variety to the fights.

    Dragons in ESO are boring.

This. You can kill m 10 times, but eventually it gets old. For me that was after 3 or 4 kills.

Dude, I like just got Elseweyr... And yeah, not a lot going on.

I guess that's what I get when I wait for a discount. *Sadness*

The event recently ended. People tend to over indulge during the event and then take a break from the content for a few days after the event. Give it a bit and people will begin showing up again. Take advantage of the lull and do the story line and the delve quests. That way you can enjoy that part without players running around all over. The dragons and bosses you can do when the players are no longer burned out on Elsweyr.

This is where I'm at right now. Did dailies in Elsweyr on multiple characters throgh the entire event and now I've had a bit too much of dragons and WBs. So unless a guildie asks for assistance or I see someone call out in zonechat and I'm in the mood, no more for me the next couple of days. Not to mention I'm levelling two characters and there are achievements I want that disctate I'm elsewhere :p in Tamriel.
Plus Dragonhold comes out new weeks which will change the dragon mechanics to something a bit more fun, so no more dragons for me until that drop.
    Zacuel wrote: »
Also, I know I'm late to the party but.... What's the deal with the dragons?

They don't crawl around when they're on the ground. Would have been way cooler and more intimating if the dragon pursued you a little.

And anyone else put off by how it looks when they're flying?

I know, I know, but I just started playing Elseweyr last week.

Wait until Dragonhold next week, will change mechanics and flying to something a bit better than this. Yes the dragons of Anequina will be changed too, so even if you don't have the dlc or just don't want to travel south yet you'll still see them.

this. its not that fewer people are playing, its that fewer people care to bother riding around trying to get to the more inconvenient dragons, now that extra rewards no longer drop from them. the dragon participation quite literally drastically dropped the minute event ended.

I see two reasons to that :

    - Recent event where people had to fight a truckload of dagons, they're probably quite fed up with that now

    - Dragons themselves are incredibly boring and poorly done. About the boring part... They pose no threat to their surroundings (you won't see farmers ruin away or merchants cower in fear, they just go about their normal lives even with a dragon 10 feet from them), their animations are really bad, and so on. As for the mechanics... Telegraphs are often absent, meaning a dragon can one-shot a really tough tank with no warning sign, and well, the lack of variety in their patterns means they get old really, really quick anyway.

    Boring, repetitive behaviours

    Crappy untelegraphed one shot mechanics

    Low viz AoE indicators/cues

    Useless rewards

    Tedious travel time

Low spawn rate (if you can be arsed to do them)

Compare the benefits in terms of XP, loot, jewels for deconning, and Fighters Guild progression of doing the Alik’r dolmen run for 30 minutes and doing the 2 - 3 dragons that will spawn in the same time. You won’t be doing dragons.

Already had Dragonhunter title on 2 characters before the event. So whilst did do dailies on another, don’t really care now.

Busy exploring other parts of the game.

But was picking up survey when s/o asked for WB help in chat so did go & do that - always like to help even if am bit rubbish.

Might do a dragon if the mood takes me but not making it my main focus.

Note: used the term ‘dragon’. For that is what they are called in this game. Hush now with all your fancy talk of wyverns.

I would say that dolmens are more fun than dragons. Probably because there's less down time, less traveling. Plus I kind of enjoy the "racing" with 20 other people from dolmen to wayshrine, and vice versa. Now, if they could just retroactively add the difficulty scaling they introduced with Summerset geysers, they'd be even more fun. And if they added less travel time + visual map cues (like the Elsweyr dragon icon) to geysers, they'd be better, too.

It's funnier than that, because this is a D&D thing. It's not like this is some grand historical definition of what is, or is not, a dragon.
