Monk should have been the class released with Elsweyr...but they missed that opportunity.
Dragons + Cats + Necromancy was such a mess.

Now, realistically mere "martial arts" should not realyl be competetive against armored enemies and proper weapons... but magically enhanced martial arts (aka, a melee magica skill line) could be!

wow... the history of Martial Arts frowns upon your comment. Gun powder is what Ended such. Not Heavy armor. In martial arts there is always a point of attack. Especially with farmers who used farm equipment to defend themselves...
