It has been patch after patch, that many of us loyal pvpers have hoped for something to be done about pirate skeleton - there are several separate issues plaguing this set :
1) Holding block or channelling a heavy attack (possibly some channeled abilities too) and having the proc go off during the cast time will cause the ability/block/HA to be interrupted.
2) The most obnoxious problem related to lag is the weapon swap - during massive cyrodiil battles its often than you get locked to one of your bars that you had when the pirate skeleton
proc has happened, the known solution is to equip a polymorph but it has failed several times too recently, so only way out is a suicide
3) When its really laggy the transformation can take even 2/3 seconds preventing any actions other than movement from happening
Now, i would like to discuss how certain disguises are used to counter these issues by preventing the visual part of the proc from happening at all:
the mentioned disguises being:
-forebear dishdasha
-crown dishdasha
both accessible from a quest Gone Missing in bergama
Both of these disguises are widely used to counter the pirate skeleton problem and are the only ones known to prevent the visual part of the proc from happening thus negating both problems 1) and 2) from happening, so here comes my ideas for solutions for the dev team :
- Allow all the other disguises in the game to behave like the aforementioned two and prevent the pirate skeleton from displaying its proc, so that we can choose something better looking
(the scarlet judge disguise would be a really nice option to use among many others)
- change the proc completely to something more of an aura like bones spinning around the character or a bone armor appearing around it that doesnt cause the transformation and interruptions
- just fix the set so the transformation doesnt interrupt the cast time/block and keep the current behaviour and visuals
Im sure many of you fellow cyro players have encountered this problem please help me bring more attention to this so that devs actually fix this set as its one of the best defensive options in the game, sad that its also the buggiest!
