✭✭✭Crown Crates are like scratch-and-win tickets. They appeal to a certain demographic. ZOS has to cover all the bases to monetize.
If you don't like Crown Crates, you are not in that demographic that likes them, and probably there's a disconnect in understanding the reason for their appeal.4 -

I will just sigh and play the gamble when there is something I want (which usually I get with gems I gain from decon anyhow)1 -

I've never bought one - opening the free ones demonstrated to me that they weren't worth it. But I'm happy to spend the gems I got from those free crates on the mid-range stuff each season.3 -

AndyMac✭✭✭✭✭They are just gambling. Ok - you don’t get money back from the roll of the dice - but you get things players value likely just as much.
Totally unethical in a game with so many young people.
Gambling has age requirements irl - with good reason.
People still get hooked even then though - terrible addiction, I’m sure.
