Dragon Rise Event - XP Boost and Gold Boost duration?

There are two completion rewards, one for killing dragons and one for doing the prologue quests.

They give an XP boost and Gold boost respectively.

Are those boosts permanent? Or only until the end of the event? It doesn't say how long they last.

I had the same thought, and only because it was confined to the zone, that maybe it was permanent. There's no indication of any kind of activator like pie or cake or drink, etc, so I'd expect it'd be constant thru the event. But who knows until they're actually unlocked or if ZOS comments. Even so, for anything that can be done within the zone, for instance crafting writs, can be done there for both buffs. I mean, right off the bat, if you're max'd and you have 15+ characters, the gold alone is north of 65k for one day's round of crafting writs, and doubled, that's gonna be over 130k...so, it's worth it to even temporarily do them in elsweyr.

I feel like it almost has to be permanent. What good would an XP Boost be if we didn't reach the Dragon killing goal until OCT. 13th. 1 day of XP boost would be pretty useless as a reward. Same for the gold boost.

The page says nothing about the amount of the bonus, though. The 100% refers to how close we are to unlocking the bonus, not to how much the bonus is. It could be something modest like 5% or so if it will be permanent, as I agree it almost must be in order to make sense. It would add up in the long run without breaking the economy.

Yea it may not be clear - and everyone is right - if the unlocks aren't till a day before the last day of the event, it is a bit of a "waste" or "pointless buff."

But there's no way these are permanent so just get that right out of your head. lol.

Its a bonus meant to get people to play more in the beginning to HURRY UP to unlock the buffs to have them for as long as possible before the end of the event.

But have no doubt - there is an end to the buff. And its 99.9% the end of the "Dragon's Rise" event. This is just a tactic to get people to front load the event.

You can't even complete the prologue until the 8th, but its a one and done so I can see that one being 100% the day it comes out (since its a single quest for everyone to just finish).

Anybody know if the Prologue Quest to unlock the Gold Boost only counts once per account? The meter seems to be stuck on 47% and I'd like to move it, but completed the quest on each server on the 8th.

If the Gold Boost only lasts until the event ends then it's looking like a bit of a damp squid 🦑.

It's implicit that all boots given with events end when the events finishes.

@TruthSeeker As it happened with the pathfinder achievement, you can do it once per account per server and per platform.

The point of this setup and how boosts are unlocked it's just a way to make players buy content n play in order to unlock stuff.

It says on the page linked above that now that it has been unlocked, the boost goes from 10am 9 October to the end of the event.
