Guild houses are just an endless sea of crafting stations

IMO they should remove the ability to craft sets at your own stations completely. You want to craft a set, you can damn well drag your ass to that location.

    Short sighted vision, why?!

Try crafting 40 master writs consecutively on 40 different locations and share we us how long did you take to accomplish it...

Its also short sighted in that currently if they have a collective hall players dont have to have DLC's to craft in a set. some of the most popular sets such as julianos are in DLC zones.

Same for motifs, just too many of them

It would be more work for ZOS to remove these sets than to rebalance them. as for motifs, you should realize by now that customizable cosmetics is what drives the crown store and many players. even hint at removing options and the paying player will dissapear with ZOS's revenue. they wont do that.

No, I like having lots of options, thank you, especially when it comes to motifs!
But perhaps they could allow an option to re-attune at some cost when new sets are introduced? I am assuming that is the issue you have with older non-meta sets still being around?

This is an excellent idea, especially considering how restrictive the max 700 furnishing limit is.

These are all good suggestions, but unfortunately I think they are at the bottom end of the totem pole. In my mind these are "luxury" changes, whereas improving performance and overhauling old code is more important long term. That is not to say I wouldn't welcome these changes, but merely I want to see more pressing issues resolved before we dive into these.

It helps stifle any P2W claims on those sets. You still see the occasional P2W tantrum on trial/dungeon gear, like False God or Rele, but it's much more muted because you need to clear content to get that.

I am not unreasonable though. You can have 50% of your invested resources back.

...and yes, it is unsightly. You don´t have to do it though. IMO mundus stones often look pretty daft, too.

You must be a hoot at parties..

At first I was like, no I like some of the older sets, then I read you want to get rid of motifs! Like, WTAF. NO.

The variety and choice available to customise ones characters is incredible and one of ESOs most redeeming features for a great many people. We need MORE motifs, not less. We need MORE customisation options, not less.

Agreed. There are a few older sets that could use some love. But, one of the major things about ESO is, you really do have a lot of options.

I realize, this may not be something you fully appreciate if you're just working off of one of Alcast's cookie cutters. I like and respect the man, he's got a few playstyles he enjoys and he sticks to them. I'd be a huge hypocrite to call him out, because I do tend to do the same. But, just because you see the same build with minor changes repeated, it's worth remembering that there are a ton of options in this game that are entirely viable, even in endgame. Not everything will put you at the top of the leaderboards, but you'll be able to comfortably clear pretty much anything.

An interesting aside. Yes I agree, I have lots of "off meta" builds (15 characters and counting), often created around a theme or role play idea, which still work, if it doesnt "work" I abandon the idea. I can still tank vet content with my off meta tank, I can still heal vet content with my off meta heal/dps hybrid, I can still dps vet content with my crazy dps builds.

Ive mentioned it elsewhere (did a whole thread on it I think), but one of my favourite is my elemental mage, Im very happy with him from concept, levelling, farming, to completion, it achieved and achieves everything I hoped for - A master mage of the elements.

Caluurion, Ilambris, Icy Conjuror. Procs fire, ice, shock all over the place, all the time.
