set pieces location (specifically magplar)

Hi,

Does anyone know if it matters where your set pieces are placed when it comes to dps? Meaning, right now I'm working on a magplar and notice all the people on YouTube hitting 90k+ have a sioria inferno staff, sioria jewelry, mother's sorrow body, and zaan's monster set. Despite practicing the same rotation over and over and over (honestly at least a hundred times) I'm mainly hitting around 83k but I have a siorira inferno, mother's sorrow jewelry, and a mix of sioria and mother's sorrow body. I just don't want to spend the time transmuting sioria jewelry if it won't matter. At the same time the only difference I see is that when I look at other people's parses.

Thanks for any advice.

Mother's Sorrow is a set that provides a static buff so you want to have it on all the time. Since you need to put Maelstrom Destro Staff on back, that means that you should have all 5 Mother's Sorrow set pieces on body or on jewelery.
Siroria on the other hand is a set that generates stacks that last for a while. This means that you don't have to have all 5 set pieces active at all times. That is why it is preferable to use it for front bar weapon.

As to which set you should have on body and which on jewelery, we have to take into consideration whether you have gold jewelery and gold body pieces. If both of them are purple then there is no difference and you can mix match however you want.
However since upgrading to gold is much cheaper for body pieces than for jewelery, many people run with everything golden except of jewelery. In that case I can't provide you with a definite answer on which set you should have on body and which on jewelery. To decide that I would have to make two versions of your build in a build editor and compare stats or maybe even make both builds on PTR and test rotations ten times for both build variations.

Thank you for the response. I just don't get it. I'm on PS4 and have practiced the magplar rotation you see people like Liko and others do on YouTube (which is really easy) use to hit over 90k and just have not been able to cross 83k, using the exact same equipment, food, and potions. I don't really see what else i can do. It's to the point I'm wondering if buying a PS4 pro would make any difference.

    Ah well. Thanks again!

I managed to get 88k on magplar in perfect false god/Ms a while back, on ps4. A few people in my guild can break 90k+. Liko was also probably bash weaving in the rotation. I'd have to watch it again. That adds a few k difference if you can get it down.
