Necromancer Pain Points

In the Last few days i was playing stamina Necromancer in PvP and while the class is okay from its Performance there are still a lot of points where its Buggy or general mechanics make it hard to be enjoyable and reliable. Here are my pain points:

Tether and corpses:
First of all, they are hard to target. That was already mentioned by ZOS and for next Patch, they are off GCD. Another option would be that they dont require targeting and will consume the nearest corpse. Like deaden Pain.

Healing tether can be LOSed. While corpse gameplay forces you to be really stationary kiting will stop your tether. Even the smalest objects will cut the beam and your heal is gone. LOS should not break tether.

Using players for your tether. As soon as the enemy player respawns the corpse is gone and your tether also. It needs to stay for the full duration, even If the player respawns.

Blastbones:
Blastbones are a meme in cyro. Targeting is a joke. Often they stay right next to their target for 5 seconds + without exploding and then they just despawn. Needs to be fixed asap to make them usefull. Also they need a little bit more health. Ranged players kill them in 1 seconds.

Colossus:
While the Animation and design of that Ultimate is really nice i noticed that the damage is dodgeable. Its an really expensive ult wich does AOE damage. That should be undodgable.

Scythe:
Stamnecro doesnt really have a good spammable. I play melee so ven skull is clunky and doesnt really fit to melee playstyle. Then i tried the scythe. Damage isnt really high, even with 5k weapon damage. And also proccing off balance at every 3rd cast feels underperforming.

(Also the visuals from it look awkward. Necro feels dark and evil but as soon as you cast the scythe its more If a meme. A bright glowing Scythe doesnt really fit the theme. Should be dark with some mist behind its path.)

Bone Armor:
While beckoning armor has a unique Secondary effect the other morph feels really boring. 15% cost reduction on 3 skills wich arent even a real spammable isnt really that good. It needs to have a more active secondary effect. For example consuming a corpse upon cast to have a new bonus effect on you. Additional resist cause you have "more bones" from the corpse.

    Totally agree re tether/corps mechs. The obvious solution is to remove targeting and make it auto use the nearest corps. It can be incredibly frustrating, and time consuming, frantically trying to get whichever tether skill it happens to be, to actually work.

    Blastbones against mobile, alert targets is almost unusable. In PVE however it is still fairly viable and does not seem as glitchy. To me it would have made more sense if it had been a spirit summoned, that could then simply fly as the crow does unimpeded by obstacles. Im not a coder but perhaps this would mitigate some of the targeting issues it glitches with.

    Im really not a fan of the colossal in any way, from its visuals to its effects. Most folk I talk to however, seem to feel its pretty OP even in its present form. I think they really missed a trick in not having some form of un-dead army spawn, spirits or skeletons etc, to attack enemy within the aoe. In my mind I think about the un-dead army from Lord of the Rings that Aragorn recruits.

    Have to disagree re scythe, I love it and for me its one of the most redeeming aspects of the whole Necro class. Also, I can get my scythe to do a fair bit of damage, although I guess that is subjective. From memory mine does about 7k, which feels good to me, given its other properties (health, off balance). I really do not mind the ethereal green colour. But Id have been equally happy with a dark misty, colour, perhaps with hints of purple (which always kinda feels dark arcane to me).

    I agree re bone armour, that morph seems fairly pointless. It would be nice if they jazzed it up a bit. Id like to see it return damage to attackers, perhaps as you suggested if consuming a corpse nearby upon activation (although straight up damage without a corpse mech would be my preference). Or even minor 8% damage mitigation or something for at least a portion of the duration.

    I've said it before, but they should do away with the tether.

    -When the ability is cast on a corpse, simply grant an aura around the player and a seperate one around the corpse with the same effect. No LoS issues.

    -Colossus effects shout take place on the first hit and last the duration of the ult.

    -Each corpse disappearing in the matter of seconds dramatically decreases the class effectiveness. Extend the duration or leave a node that remains as long as the necro is in radius.

    -Make blast bones recastable. After 2-3 seconds recasting causes it to explode as NEW one is created. Casting it prior to the 2-3 seconds simply recasts the same blast bones near player at no cost but no explosion or corpse. Edit: Shouldn't need a target to cast. Itll target the 1st you attack or that attacked you. recast if new target.

    -Last but not least avid boneyard has a bug where the synergy does zero damage. Fix that! 20 seconds cooldown.

    Maybe Summoner's armor could give you a second summon for your Skeletal Mage/Archer and Spirit Mender summons when you cast those skills. Or at least a zombie or something.

    For example, while slotted and you use the Skeletal Mage/Archer or Spirit Mender skill, you get another skeleton/spirit or a zombie that lasts for the same duration.

    It is called Summoner's armor after all.

    Also what is really hard to aim is the healing tether. The beam also heals but nearly Impossible to hit. Should really be an aura on the corpse and on you. Bigger aoe, cant be LOSed.

    And btw, magicka necro is still trash in pvp. Just saying.
