Surely there is a way for ZOS to track the account names of people that have entered your home?
As well as fixing this bug, exploiters should be persued. ZOS have given suspensions in the past for far less malicious exploiting than this!
All my housing builds are available on YouTube

I am happy to share the EHT save files for most of my builds.

Housing/Decorating is a fundamental aspect of the game for some players. While it is an aspect of the game, it should be, in my opinion, managed the same way other aspects are. For example, while going through the portal for the Lunar Champion house, for me when I return, all the lighting is glitched. However, it seems it’s an oversight from the last update which covered dungeons, class errors etc. of the game. Since, the housing glitch that is in question, meaning that players can become decorators who were not listed as such impacts any player, not just decorators but all who spend countless hours to whom you even showcase on your own website and other forms of social media. Would it not be wise to also cater to those players and their concerns? For me, I would ask as someone who is selling the “housing/decorating” concept, what would happen if all those customers would stop playing because their concerns weren’t addressed? How many dollars would that be lost?
It’s a simple thought and a lot of dollars. Simply put, this probably needs be addressed as the idea of transforming, building or adorning a home is one of the finest things ESO or any game I’ve ever played has to offer. I cannot even imagine if all my hard work and countless hours were ruined in a moment. Someone breaking into my house and destroying it. It’s just pure vandalism. It should be addressed just the same as all aspects of the game glitches are.
My plead to the developers. I speak on behalf of myself and for all those who love to decorate. Peace.

It is my home in the video of this post. I was beyond enraged that someone can come into my home and move things due to this glitch. I have multiple guilds that use my home as a base for the guild and for events. When people come in and wreck my hard work I’m forced to close off my home to my Guildies until the glitch is fixed. Housing needs these two proposed changes. If someone comes in and changes your home even when offline the item is highlighted through walls and even the ground so you can see if someone has buried an item. This allows you to see an item is moved. Mark them very much the same way you toggle mark a player in pvp. And we need a history tab. That way guilds can apprehend the culprits who enjoy ruining gameplay for everyone else.

This glitch is still occurring. Please address this as soon as possible as thus glitch is ACTIVELY effecting guild events, game play, individuals work and the communities enjoyment for housing. While housing is not END game content it is Vital content for a large portion of the ZoS community.

Thank you for supporting and addressing our concerns ZoS as we continue to support you.

With apologies for the necro, this bug is still happening for me. When I enter my house, all my permissions get reset, despite having full lists of permissions set up in my guild visitors, banlists, etc., it just shows empty lists and my house gets set to no access. When I try to add new people to the list, I type in the name and submit and it does not appear, just keeps showing an empty list.

Please, please, please do something about this. My RP event got badly trolled last night and I was powerless to do anything with the permissions all messed up. It was very upsetting and disruptive to my guild and me, and basically gives trolls carte blanche to run into player's houses and troll their events without consequences.

    Thanks for looking into it.

Is this coincidence? Is it possible these trolls used some kind of cheat or third party software or maybe even a special AddOn to mess up the permissions so they could troll you?

Of course, whether it was or not, should be checked out by ZOS.
Pretty sure other MMOs try to detect various applications in the background for cheat engines and such.

I don't think so, as far as I know this glitch has been happening for a while (and to others I've spoken to as well). They said they've fixed it but it still happens for some of us. I've noticed it happening to me even before the event, but this is the first time I've been trolled and not able to boot anyone from my house.

Permission changes to No Access after logoff and when changed back again after log on to 'visitor' or 'limted visitor' it stays as that until log off again and then has to be changed back to correct permission when logging on again. the interesting thing is that it doesnt happen on the PTS server - all works fine there.
Its stopping me having open homes on Essential Housing Community as no one can visit unless i'm logged on and ensured the correct permissions are in palce.

Maybe giving decorator access should be disabled or never available as a default permission but something you have to explicitly allow for another account? And homeowners should be able to kick anyone from their home. Trolling someone in their own home should not even be possible.

I have not encountered anything like this, thankfully, and have been having a wonderful experience visiting others’ fabulous creations through EHT.

    This glitch has returned.

It even removes people on the specific permission Visitor list AND the Blacklist this time, so anyone can get in.
