What is offered this week?
The Golden vendor is a special vendor located in one of base camps for each faction in Cyrodiil that only appears on the weekend to sell monster sets that are obtained in the various group dungeons around Tamriel.

Shoulders don’t come from doing the dungeon. Shoulders come from Undaunted keys. So there’s no point in buying them from the Golden unless you were looking for a specific armor weight.#FiteForYourRite Bosmer = Stealth

true...could be a cool set if they updated / changed it somehow to make it less niche...i guess they think making the duration of major maim longer is too strong...
maybe they could change the major maim to minor maim but instead add an additional effect, for example apply minor maim + minor vulnerability for 10 seconds with a 10 seconds cool down so that you can have it on 100% of the time...
and change the healing received into either health or resistances....

Like last time when the head was on the Golden - there's so, so many ways to apply Minor Maim, yet another single target one is a waste of a monster set.
Vykosa is one of those sets that have very specific uses, and it is good at them. You don't use it for 99% of the content but when you use it, you're glad it exists.
I ike it that there are sets like that. Yet another average debuff set applying the usual stuff, on the other hand, is really boring.
That said, should you buy the shoulder from the Golden? Hell no.
You could make a case for buying the helmet, but the shoulder is wasted money. But that's true for basically all of the shoulder pieces, I think.Edited by Varana on October 5, 2019 9:59AM0 -

I like the idea of a set that applies Major Maim for tank builds that dont have a MM skill (like Templar's Nova). But the duration is so short and the cooldown so long its almost worthless. Its for very, very specific situations like, for example, a hard hitting boss attack that may save you from group wipe. But such occasions are pretty rare and is just not worth the effort to complete such a difficult vet dungeon like MHK. I bought it from the vendor some weeks ago and it stays in my chest.
The set would be pretty cool if it had a longer Major Maim duration or an unnamed armor debuff or even minor vulnerability as you said. Sth like that would put the set back to the game.
