I'm making the long circuit around Elsweyr with my EU character to get the Pathfinder achievement, while passing the time until 2AM EDT when I can go for my 2nd day's tickets. I got my 1st day's earlier this morning.
So I'm farming while pathfinding, and I've just found a Rubedite Ore node that includes a Nafaalilargus's Strongbox. Pretty cool! I didn't realize they could drop randomly from nodes.

✭I got one a couple of hours ago while harvesting runes, and I was quite surprised.
ETA: half an hour after that, I got a second strongbox (along with my tickets) when I killed a dragon. It wasn't really clear to me until then that you could get more than one strongbox in a day, so that was a nice surprise, too.Edited by amapola76 on October 4, 2019 5:26AM2 -

✭I think I got around 5 strongboxes yesterday in 2 hours while doing the daily jobs and a little dragon farming, and I wasn’t even trying that hard. They seem to have a non-trivial drop-rate.0 -

✭✭I got a strongbox from a violet coprinus node. Nice to know they drop from treasure chests and even urns or other containers.
I know a lot of players, including myself, usually bypass nodes in Elsweyr while dragon hunting. It's always been hard for me, a compulsive node harvester, to ride by any node. But, I guess as the word spreads, there won't be as many nodes available to harvest.1 -
