4th Event and 4th berry for Q3?

I'm really really hoping the last Q3 event isn't tied to having DLC or Elsweyr access. My alt account was locked out of the TG/DB event and only had 5 days of the Orsinium event during the ESO+ free trial. I did what I could to stock up during the IC event (since that was made free for everyone), but I'll be relying on the last event to get the last two berries for the onyx indrik. I'm certainly not shelling out forty bucks to buy Elsweyr for a storage account, so it would be great if that was not made necessary to get tickets from the last event.

This is also where having a quarterly schedule of events would be very helpful. Even if a particular morph is essentially locked behind content we might not have, if we know that ahead of time we can avoid wasting time going after berries we won't be able to use.

It's probably the CWC event since Q4 has plenty of event time with the new life slavery. Oops I mean new life festival.

    @luen79rwb17_ESO
FYI, the Germany team have already hinted that the next event will be something different, in this thread (Google translate works really well BTW): https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/de/discussion/comment/6361166/#Comment_6361166. Speculation is that it will be an Elsweyr event, but you might or might not need Elsweyr to get tickets.

We haven't had a CWC event yet this year (I think), so we can probably expect one in Q4 for sure, but most likely in November, AFTER the Witches Festival (second half of October). Personally I'm hoping that Murkmire will also be celebrated in one of these events, and they might combine Murkmire with CWC, like they have in recent years with the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood events. The UESP events page is useful to see the order in which the events have occurred in previous years: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:Events

@Ilsabet has a good point too. It's a bit frustrating if you have worked to get the first three berries, and then find that the final berry tickets are locked behind a paywall - either of content that you don't yet own, or crown store (to just directly buy event tickets).

Die vierte Beere kommt mit dem Event nächste Woche, mehr Infos gibt es in Kürze.

Erst danach beginnen die "echten" Events des vierten Quartals und das Beerensammeln geht von vorne los.

The fourth berry comes with the event next week, more information is coming soon.

Only then will the "real" events of the fourth quarter begin and berry picking will start again.

Question: Why are events made such a secret and announced shortly before?

    Kai:
Because the upcoming event is part of something bigger ... but pssst. :)

The other events are not that mysterious, they are partly tested on the PTS. For example, the celebrations of the intrepid or this week the New Year. It is also no secret that the witches party returns.
And for the last two, you can also tell when they are about to take place with a look at the calendar.

Pfui (that's German for phooey, BTW).
Next week is now this week and still no announcement that I can see.

Do the devs need a remedial course, like "Introduction to Western Calendar Systems 101?"
Taking stealth away from the Bosmer is like taking magic away from the Altmer, making Nords allergic to mead, or making Orcs pretty.

Seeing the Hollowjack furnishing in crown store makes me think the Witches Festival will be starting next week or so.

Yeah, but thought that event was to come to testing on the PTS and would be worthless to test it at the same time as running it on Live server...

Ok so the final Q3 event is "Dragonrise" in Northern Elsweyr, October 3 to 14. You get:
    • event tickets from any boss in Northern Elsweyr, or sometimes randomly from any trash mob in that zone (max 2/day)
    • small chance of getting Bonus special loot boxes (Nafaalilargus’s Strongbox) when killing dragons or world bosses in the Northern Elsweyr zone
    • Double XP while in the Northern Elsweyr zone after killing any dragon (probably for the next two hours). Note: may be bugged, no XP buff shown for me on day 1 of the event.
    In addition,
    • killing dragons will count towards a charity donation, $1 per 5 dragons killed (two specific cat-related charities)
    • from October 8 onward, you earn double gold in the Northern Elsweyr zone after completing one of the dragonhold prologue dailies (probably for 2 hours)
    • If enough players get the Northern Elsweyr Pathfinder achievement, all players who own that expansion (and login during the period) will get bonus rewards - a pet, a skin, and possibly a furnishing (giant heap of treasure)
    • event berries and feathers earned from event tickets (crown store tickets don't count) grant additional entries into the big sweepstakes event for this quarter

So players that don't have the Elsweyr chapter can't earn tickets to get the last Onyx berry? Seriously? :|

Correct, although if you have tickets saved up from the last event, you might already have enough to just buy the berry - or could buy event tickets from the crown store. If you don't have enough crowns, I think that crown store event tickets are giftable, so 50k gold (or less, PC/NA rates) per ticket should be enough to get you your berry (if you can find a trustworthy seller).
Also, if you have enough real world money to buy crowns, you could instead consider buying the Elsweyr chapter at 50% off.

Thanks for answering and offering some solutions. Unfortunately, I didn't end up with enough tickets from the previous event and don't own the dlc so looks like I'll be passing on this one.
