While we're at it puncturing sweeps and its morphs should not stop enemy movement especially if they have access to eclipse. This also should be looked at.

Have you ever tried the forums search feature before starting a new thread, @regime211?

Or, do you think nobody else has thought of the issues you want to talk about??

Don't worry dude, templars get buffed next patch :)

Piercing Javelin, Puncturing Strikes, Purifying Light and Backlash get buffed, because there is no templars at all running in cyrodiil due to being to weak at the moment.

Templars get one patch that they're competitive, and only due to their purge ability and synergy with Dot's (that are being "adjusted") and people want them nerfed to Oblivion. Templars were already there not too long ago. Leave them be. The incoming dot nerfs will be enough.

Templar is the noob class, useful only on low level. Once CP 160 reached just swap to a better class like sorc or nightblade.
Sorc and nightblade are still the top tier pvp classes.

Delparis is right. We should nerf Sorc and NB

In terms of a damage dealer, sure. In terms of support, its top tier.

And thats the dileama that is at the surface for combat development. The devs have to decide on uniqueness in which some classes shine in certain areas of game and that there is something special that makes classes stand out and really shine in ways other classes dont. Dks are front lines, lay down dots, nbs are mobile and hit with high burst quickly, ect

Or they have to decide on every classes being more homegenized. Ground base aoes all fit the same formula, each class has a spam, all should do the same dmg, same healing, same tanking regardless of stam or mag. My magden frost staff should do as much dmg, my magdk should be as mobile as a sorc ect.

Personally, im ok with uniqueness and not having everything the same, just with different visuals.

ahh, nerfs... When a player is too lazy to learn there own skills, practice rotations and actually get good at their own character then the class that beat them needs a nerf.

How about, I don't know, practice parsing and learn your rotation and go beat them instead of whining and asking ESO to make the game easier for you.

I agree to a certain extent, but there is no reason why every class can't fulfill every roll AND do it in unique ways. You can avoid homogenization rather easily if the devs take the right steps.

Templar’s have been competitive for over a year now. I think your definition of competitive means strongest class which just happened this patch. It’s also more than DOTs that’s making Templars strong ZoS also nerfed the handful of classes that where better than Templar and that’s why you are seeing Templars everywhere. A lot of the other classes just feel incomplete. The Templar bubble is beyond op as well. Those huge Templar nerfs were two years ago and they really only made templar bad for 1vX and duels. For group play magplars have always been popular.

The reason I want Templar’s nerfed (magplar in particular) is because they just do too much. They are capable of having amazing damage and survivability while at the same time keep their group alive with shards, purge, and BoL. If you are going to have the utility they have their damage needs to be toned down quite a bit. Stamplar is kind of in a good spot it doesn’t really need any big nerfs.

@maddiniiLuna puncturing strikes did not get a buff. The snare will also be removed from living dark and the heal is being reduced. Magplars will also have to spec into MaA instead of Thaum meaning it will be more difficult to get the Exploiter passive so that will be an indirect nerf to damage. Additionally they wont benefit from soul trap and entropy being so strong anymore as well. Javelin is a CC with a very low tooltip about 5.5k on a normal build. CP will still mitigate some of that and it’s an expensive skill. It won’t be worse than any other CC. It’s also very expensive. L2P and learn what you’re talking about before you come in here whining.

I disagree that Templars should be relegated back to support only. Any class needs the potential to either do competitive damage (pve and pvp) or supply utility. I do agree that their need to be trade offs but most of the nerf Templar rants are coming from teed off sorcs and nb's because they have to share the spotlight for a moment.

Disclaimer: I have two of every class and don't "main" any certain one.
