PTS, Cutting Dive, What's the point?

If Cutting Dive is meant to be a Stamina Warden's primary spammable, why is there still a 2 second delay and why does the DoT reach max potency at 7 stacks when you can only realistic apply ~6 on bosses BECAUSE of the delay?
If Cutting Dive is truly meant to be used as a spammable, then the animation/projectile needs to be sped up to match that of other projectiles, otherwise it's just a 10% nerf to the 1-2 wardens that were attempting to use it as a delayed burst ability.

✭+Shalks, bread and butter, have a 20m range but Cutting Dive requires at least a 15m distance- that's only 5 meters of wiggle room.. not much room for error. especially in pvp.1 -

✭Agree, the synergy between skills feels odd. If they want to keep a range requirement it needs to be reduced to 5m+ or something. As well as speeding up the animation (i would also prefer it come from casters hand)PS NA

✭The spawn point isn't the issue- I actually like it- it's the speed of the projectile.
I've tried to make it work, but it only connects 1/4th of the time.

Heimpai✭✭✭✭✭This is why i shelved my stamden and pulled out my stamplar for pvp...You buff a skill that made my playstyle unique then nerf it so that my playstyle is completely gone then expect me to replace it with a trash spammable that’s better at range..
If i play stamden now I’m better off going dw/bow, nothing changes from pve..So much for diversity0 -

The Dswing nerf is why..No one uses dive cuz it’s trash, and from what i heard Dswing won’t be worth my time either..Guess i could go magden..Idk I’m not really feeling the fun in this game with the last patch and the pts..0 -

Why won't it be worth your time? All you got to do is medium weave after a dizzy, you can medium weave just as fast as light attacking if you get the timing right, with the exploiter Cp you'd be doing more dmg that way anyway. The combo of dizzy to onslaught would be slightly higher dmg as well as you'll go dizzy, medium, onslaught and you'll have time because you cc off the medium attack now.
The dmg nerf to it was 100% justified though, reduce cast time by 16%, reduce dmg by 16%.PS4 EU DC

✭Yes, Dive is 100% trash.
Unless they change the delay and the weak dot- it'll never be viable spammable.
