Can something be done about other people's summons?

They obstruct your view, prevent you from interacting with things, and also seem to affect targeting enemies. I'm here trying to turn in crafting writs but can't because someone else has their damned summons in the way, or I'm trying to attack/target this boss from range but can't because someone else has their fat-ass bear right in the way.

Give me an option to turn off the visibility of other people's summons, or if those people are in my group then make the summons translucent. I really only need to see other people's summons if we are engaged and fighting each other.

I know, dead horse, bla bla... But the problem remains and until this is addressed this horse is gonna keep taking a beating.

I'd love a way to hide the annoying flapping twilight. It really gets on my nerves when they're in the bank, constantly flicking on the edge of the screen. I usually try to position myself so they don't show, but then the owner moves or someone else arrives and they're back in my vision.

The others don't really bother me. Although I always despawn my own summons when I'm out of combat because they can get in the way.

I run a dual pet magsorc and unsummon them in town. Heck, they irritate me in town so I know they can irritate others. I think more folks don't unsummon them because it is fairly tedious to do so. One thing I've asked for several times on the forums here is a simple mappable key to 'unsummon all summons'. Then I could map it to an out of the way key and despawn them with one touch instead of the tedium of going into my char menu, locate each pet and right click on each then come back out of the char menu. . . .

Usually dismiss mine. I used to just "lift" their icons but for awhile now I use Pet Dismiss.

These pets are gigantic and I can see where they'd be annoying so I dismiss in town.

I find them extremely annoying too. One of my Sorcs is a pet Sorc and I always dismiss mine in town. It would be great if they would auto dismiss in towns similar to the way you can't ride your horse, etc in certain areas.

My flappy thing annoys me in towns etc, but my sorc has one bar set up for summons and the other as a storm mage so a quick weap swap means they don't annoy me and don't annoy others :)

That could be problematic because some quests involve fighting enemies in towns, in the normal version too, not a phased version where the town is under attack - for example there's one in Daggerfall where you get attacked in the streets by assassins and another where you fight a werewolf in the town. It would also put pet sorcs at a disadvantage in duels (although I'd like to see duelling in town banned too).

But maybe there could be a way around that? Like reducing the automatic dismiss area to 'hot spots' like crafting stations and the bank, or add a thing to automatically resummon them if you enter combat while in town.

Yeah I have learned pets and summons are very annoying. Please, be considerate and unsummon them in town, at the bank etc. When urn farming is when I saw exactly how frustrating they can be. I turn my non combat pets off also when urning my gold. They block the urns and makes it slower as you cant interact with the urns if the pet is standing on them.

I’d like it if they automatically desummoned for certain interactions like using a crafting station, vendor or bank.

Tab targetting is a work around.

Or when you roll into the bank in Rawl'kha, and your friendly, neighborhood bot farming piece of *** is getting all of his bots ready, and they ALL have both pets active, thus turning the entire bank into a petting zoo? You mean that kind of rubbish? Yeah, I'd love an option to hide pets for those peeps.

I've never run mods in ESO for fear of problems/glitches. Your recommendation finally prompted me to install Minion and the Pet Dismiss mod. It is absolutely brilliant and makes unsummoning as easy as summoning - easier since you can unsummon from the saddle. Thanks very much for the advice. :)

Try tab targeting with a gamepad... Spoiler: There is no tab targeting with gamepad, you can only select the target you're focused on, and if you can't see the target then no lock!

Can't believe this is still a thing. Goddamned pets everywhere...

As someone who runs a bear warden, my own pet often gets in my way too.

    Sorry.

At the least though, people who stand in front of things forever, like crafting stations, whilst they rummage through their inventory or open their parcels, should be banned from the game. Have some bloody consideration!

Those quests can all be completed by a 5 year old playing with his toes. No need for pets.

It does not seem to be much of a problem. As someone who has been in game since launch and has maxed crafting on 15 characters, does writs daily on a minimum of 4, and plays more hours that is healthy I rarely find an issue wiht players combat pets.

Most of the rare occurrences I have encounters were solved by a step to one side or the other. Yes, I am aware of the extremely rare occurrence the step to the side does not work but again that is extremely rare. Yes, I can understand some are more sensitive to minor inconveniences than others but aspects of the game should not go through redesigns for such trifling issues.

I'm glad this isn't a problem for you. But it is for others. And someone even went through the trouble of making an addon just to try and alleviate the problem... Anyway, thank you for your contribution?

Dual pet Mag Sorc reporting in & would also like the winged twilight to be smaller & less flappy. I try to remember to unsummon them when in public but sometimes I forget until a huge wing flaps into view :( The clanfear & scamp don't bother me.. just the winged twilight. I've never had a problem with the Warden bear either.

I would also like a toggle to disable seeing (& hearing) non-combat pets.

Ofc. As I said some are more sensitive to such minor inconveniences but I also can see some people are just very unlucky. With that I am merely saying it is not a major issue and should not be a priority to change.

As a sticky-fingered PetSorc myself, I was immediately irritated to discover that my summoned combat pets got in the way of looting stuff. As soon as I accidentally discovered that I could unsummon them, I did so. I summon them only when I need them, and unsummon them as soon as they've done their duty. I get that some players enjoy riding around on their mounts all the time with their combat pets and noncombat pets running alongside, but I don't understand why it doesn't annoy them.

I wish also mounts would stay in the world. And that you could interact with them, like putting stuff in a horse bag, feeding them with food found in the world and /pet them.

I never had any issues with pets and i can interact with anything even if tons of pets are on top of it. Even if i cannot see it, i press [E] and i can interact with it.

Tbh. At this point it is hilarious how ZOS treated WW Pack Leader morph and made ww pets untargatable just like that. And their argument was that: "It was cousing targeting issues."
As far as I can tell other permanent pets (Bear, Familiars and Twilights) are still targetable...
ZOS claims that they are standarising skills & abilities, but how are they going to do that since they have double standards ? ? :o

Further point, why do you need a Banker or Merchant out while in combat? As soon as combat starts they should dismiss as neither would want to be caught in the wake.

People are using them to troll others and affect the targeting.
