This is just a dang popularity contest, so many of the votes across this comp pay no attention to lore and true power levels.
I like Azura, she is bae, but she is not on Lorkhan's level.
You rise and sleep on the very Mundus that Lorkhan's actions have provided, and then question whether he can defeat some petty she-demon who is mistress of sunsets.
Lorkhan's existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, made Nirn! You don't want the truth, because deep down you needed Lorkhan to fool the et'Ada into creating the Mundus.
Azura gets banished on the daily, Lorkhan's heart alone powered 3 demi-gods who clowned Azura for millenia.

Wrong, he isn't really dead as in "dead". He is cursed to live in the shell(body) of a mortal and walk Nirn as long as long his heart doesn't return to him. In fact, it is common theory that he took on the form of a Khajiit, a being that his sister, Azura created to avoid suspicion amongst the Aedra(and the Daedra). Some even believe it is a Maiq, as he seems to have knowledge of certain things, only someone who can see the world from a outer perspective(part of achieving CHIM) can do and Lorkhan was amongst the few who had the achievement. Also Maiq's Liar nature goes well with the trickster god. He does say he belongs to a lineage of Maiqs, but that might as well be one of his lies and all the Maiqs can possibly be only one being.
