I've had my main account since launch, and the other 2 since the game was subscription-only, so I've had a lot of time to make and level all of these characters...

I have 10 in Xbox N/A, and 3 in Xbox EU. In N/A I created enough to try out mag and stam versions of each build along with a vampire and werewolf, although I now need another to get the stamcro. In EU I started with one just to help get the Grand Psijic Villa during the promotion. Later I added two more in EU so I could get the other alliance free apartments.

I set up all of my characters so they get something from a hireling. I have to say I have a lot less time to actually play as most of my time is tied up on getting mail, daily rewards, leveling up some crafting on alts, and doing daily crafting writs. It's been weeks since I really played the game and I haven't even started Elswyr, my vampire necro started there but immediately left to seek his fortunes elsewhere.

Of all of your character names, which one is your favorite?

I am at 17/18 right now, not sure where I am going with the 18th one yet. But I have a toon for multiple different PVP and PVE playstyles. At least 1 Mag and Stam in each class for PVP, including a few others for different styles of play. Like two stamblades, one is bow/bow and the other is a bursty two hander build. And then I have a Mag DPS, Stam DPS, Healer and Tank for PVE.

I don't play them all equally, and sometimes I may go a month or more without spending significant time on some. But it is nice to have options for group needs or for whatever mood I am in.

41 total, 34 of which are fully leveled crafters with all traits on all crafts...

... and I'm so fed up with the game's quality, I don't play any of them, not even to pick up hireling mail.

I did it... I made my 15th character... let the games begin! An Altmer Magcromancer dps. Though I may try him as a Breton after he hits CP level... but my theory crafting suggests his sustain will be fine.

On a separate note, cannot believe how much this poll took off! Thank you so much for everyone's contribution and comments. It feels like I did something worthwhile around here haha!

Very surprised to see just how many people have A LOT of characters. I am not as crazy as I though! Though, I guess the folk that frequent these forums are the more avid, long term and passionate of the player base

18 characters, all level 50, maximum tier crafters, 11 have all traits researched while the other 7 have 5-8 traits and going
- 9 fully trained and geared, 372-376 skill points each (the first one has 414) - highlighted in the signature
- one currently in training - Magicka Warden
- two more scheduled for training next year - Stamina & Magicka Necromancer
- 6 that I will probably never play, but they're there for the extra storage and writ income

i started out with 1 of each class.
if i wanted to try out a toon as a different role i already have enough hoarded gear. if i really enjoy it and i want to be serious about playing that toon and min/max i sometimes buy a race token.

it is much more respectable of my time to swipe the card on a race token than to grind another toon to 50, do skill points, skyshards, skill lines, horse training etc but nowadays most of that isnt an issue anymore (i would still buy the token though becaause i already have htose lines maxed out and tons of skill points available).

BUT...
when i had my first warden i LOVED the whole ice mage idea, but wardens are the best tanks and healers in the game.
period.

so i didnt want to give up her being a healer so i made a second warden just to be a nord ice mage to mess around with. relax guys, i dont have trifocus and i dont take her to trials and dungeons anyway, but she is insanely fun to play!!!

my original toon was a templar and i kinda fell into tanking. 3 years she was my main. did all the content with her as a tank.
lol got lots of strange looks and comments, but she gets it done!
after trying out healing, i immediately race changed her from nord to breton and made a second templar to “recreate” my tamplar tank because it is very powerful and lots of fun! (its actually ok to not play meta by the way)
i cleared every dlc and non dlc dungeon and trial with her.

8 toons is enough!

When I first answered the poll I had 13, I now have 15, still only 3 in EU, 12 in NA. I started a Redguard Necromancer and an Imperial Dragonknight. While both are only level 8 I plan on making a StamCro and a MagDK respectively.

I don't play each character each day, I often don't play some of them for weeks but I do want to make progress on each of them. Even decided to get organized a bit, made a spreadsheet tracking things like race, alliance, level, main quest level, planned class, planned gear if I make sets for them, world skills they have unlocked like Fighter's, Mage's, Undaunted, Psijic, DB and Thieves guild, and special things like if they have Vampire or Werewolf unlocked.

When first answered this poll i had fewer, but now have 18/18 full cp (1125+) toons - 1 stam dps for each class, 1 mag dps for each class, 4 tanks (dk, sorc, necro,warden) and 2 healers (nb, templar). all are fully geared out, all but 1 are khajiit. all are full prof master crafters, 2 are 9 trait, all the rest are 6-8 trait, main has all but 4 motifs, all have >350 skill points.
