Anti-Bunny hopping Thread

Ah fond memories of the days that I was bunnyhopping in Morrowind to raise Acrobatics skill.

I personally like the idea. Peeps in medium armor could get a reduction in cost and jump a little further.
And so the Elder Scrolls foretold. You will be shy, and I will be bold.

PvE soloist here. I'm fine with bunny hopping. It helps me climb silly steep upgrades sometimes. If running from a foe and good with my fingers, I can hop up, check behind me while in the air and resume running in the correct direction without interruption to course and speed. Sometimes in combat, hopping up can allow a clear shot in a crowd to a ranged target to interrupt a cast or to taunt.

Irritating? That is a matter of taste. I don't find it irritating but who cares? Certainly no one cares that I find glowing mounts, dueling in crowded areas, throwing mudballs, spamming zone chat with drivel (I could go on) all to be irritating.

If you play as magsorc you should know that jump helps to aim your curse, because at current state, slope terrain block haunting curse full raise.

See jumping magsorcs like stam players running around rocks, towers and trees (They cut LoS and aiming).

"Bunny hopping usually serves one of two purposes:

Avoiding Attacks: Bunny hopping can throw off opponents' aim and give the hopper an opportunity to attack.
Gaining Speed: Bunny hopping can increase the speed at which players move, allowing them to close the distance when attacking opponents."

the player who jump all the time is maybe bored, but he gets no benefit from this mechanic in eso.

    Sure about this?

Ignorance is bliss as many commentators have no idea why bunny hopping is used in pvp.

Jumping should cost stamina and have a scaling cost factor as it's currently a free combat ability.
    Change my mind. :)

K, let start by the base would you ?

    =>
    bunny-hopping
A technique in Half-Life (mostly CS) that involves excellent timing and coordination. You can gain tremendous speed from these hops and jump extremely far. Usually used by veteran counter-strike players because it used to come in handy to get places fast, and also get away quickly. Must use strafing, jumping, and mouse movements to bunnyhop correctly. This is considered a bug in the coding of HL. Bunny-Hopping is a very hard technique to master but doesn't work that well anymore in most Half-life Mods.

Their is no bunny-hopping in ESO, only peoploe jumping for fun and don't get any advantage of it.
So, no, stop with stupid idea, dev produce already enough of it.

I remember the good old days of Asherons Call where you actually put skill points into jumping. More skill points the higher the jump. Of course if they added that to ESO it would be somehow be used to jump straight into inner keeps LOL.

zenimax should add a High stamina cost to jumping. and by "high stamina cost to jumping" i mean make it so that 3 jumps will deplete your stamina pool.

Despite there being some overland zones and dungeons that require 5 to 6 leaps/jumps in a row to get to items /shards / quest npcs.

Not everything is based around PvP, just like everything isnt around PvE.

I once had a guy in a pvp guild who swore that single target attacks (like crushing shock, snipe) could not be use against a jumping target.

    People make me chuckle.

The only benefit “gained” by bhop is LoS

You are able to target things that are being blocked by a lil bump/log/hill

    This is obviously game breaking....*sarcasm*

I can't say for my own jumping, but I'll clearly say players who don't jump around you to prevent targeting are easier to defeat, so yeah don't jump plz? ^^

Normal jumping is fine but this......this is clearly an exploit and I consider anyone who does it the sort of trash player who would use multiple mundus and other such crap in this game.

I agree, jumping, like dodge roll and sprinting, should have a NOMINAL stamina cost....but that cost should be progressive, getting more expensive when used multiple times in a certain time frame. Same goes for cloak; it should cost more to begin with, and then more each time it's used in a certain time period....kinda like streak costs.

I have never seen someone do that. How does that work then? Just jumping up and down?
