Is a heavy armor stam NB a thing in PVP? I made a NB tank that i dont really enjoy tanking with and i want to change him up for PVP. I already have a medium armor NB and wanted to try out a more robust and tanky NB build. Could this work?

I have tried heavy so much, I played a heavy armor lizard wizard forever. Problem is they just are not good anymore. With the change to all theheavy passives, your not as tanks as you were, you healings been nerfed into the ground, and the lack of heavy armor damage sets and the nerfing to nb burst combos you will hit like a overcooked noodle.

I would love this style to make a come back, my heavy armor brawler pre Morrowind was one of my favorite specs

I was afraid of this. Even my twink with top gear in low lvl BGs sucks....i just thought it was due to me not knowing the class. Which probobly is the case aswell. I did indeed feel like i was hitting like a wet noodle.

NB lacks skills that scales with max health.

Champion of the Hist might be a heavy armor set worth looking into if you're determined to go heavy nightblade.
2 lines of stamina and ultimate regen like crazy. Paired with Bloodspawn, you could almost spam incap.

Edit: Sounds fun and non-meta to me.

what they nerfed with heavy? can you pass a link?

ive always heard this heavy meta but cant seem to find any useful passives. i rather craft fort brass set in medium and have the best of both worlds.

That’s sorta what the heavy armour/tank meta is. It’s one part people not realizing you can be tanky in light and medium and another part good heavy armour sets for stamina dps. People see someone tanky and thought they must be wearing heavy armour.

I’d try pariah instead of fortified brass though. The fluctuating armour amount helps against onslaught.

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten

hmm, what about malubeth + pariah + sustain set, blockcasting power extraction? You can use dark cloak + vigor as you healing tool
Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

I was born with the wrong sign
    In the wrong house
    With the wrong ascendancy
    I took the wrong road
That led to the wrong tendencies
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
Used the wrong method with the wrong technique

I found the onslaught buff killed a lot of builds. You invest in heavy armour and resistances to be tanky and someone can negate that with an ultimate. It gives resistances a sort of diminishing returns.

You can still be tanky but better to be tanky through major protection. Blocking can be countered easily with a fear, major protection is the best mitigation source.

Does that work? In BGs people are stacking speed to help land their dizzy swings. I saw it but didn’t try it because I thought I’d get kited too easily.

Edited: Movement is fairly important but, they're removing the stun from D-swing and will now set players off balance. If you're going to D-swing, you'll smack them with a D-swing. Blocking negates the CC component on attacks also, including the off-balance.

You can work around the speed reduction from Iron Blood with gap closing skills, or silver leash to pull someone to you. Heck you can silver leash someone right into a barbed trap, if you wanted to snare and stun them at the same time.

    Plenty of choices and options.
