ESO on twitch

Eso has an older, more traditional audience. Watching others play a game that you could be playing isn’t as popular amongst us “olds”.

there is also tournament in twitch, where ESO didn't make any tournament at all imo.
Last night i was watching wow pvp tournament, very entertaining as you see all good move and bad decisions.
ESO fight is too trashy as you don't even know what skill was used thanks to animation cancelling bug.

The combat in WoW is exceptionally slow in comparison so I can see why that would be the case.

yeah but you can't make money on twitch on ESO, at least not at the same level if you were streaming wow.
this could be bad for twitch streamers.

True. You will hit a ceiling when it comes to views, judging by people who have been streaming waaaay longer than me it becomes stagnate in terms of growing and earning money streaming it full time - unless you can coordinate with another popular content creator and have your channel embed on their own popular site so anybody on that site counts as a viewer on twitch and makes you look super popular which will drawn in more people in your stream because you are number 1 in the directory making everybody with real viewers look not as enticing because the streamer in the number 1 spot had 2.5k views and people below him are at the low hundreds or double digits so you have this preconceived notion that these other guys must suck because they are no where near as close to the other guy.

Yea but that's gonna attract a lot of trolls that spam TriHard 7.

If it wasn't for your embedded viewership people would see your veiwership has stayed stagnant even after going full time streamer. ESO on twitch is bigger than it used to be but because of a handful of embedded viewers it's higher than it normally would be. Also what is TriHard 7 and what does it mean?

No one watches eso on twitch because the majority of high-tier PvE is pushing a trial once for clears, then constantly running/resetting while trying to get the Speed/HM/No Death run. And no one watches PvP because it's mostly zerging/zergsurfing. There are a few people who stream that can actually pull off true solo/small-scale (as in, not just turning off nameplates and health bars) and even then it's becoming more and more of a chore because of the constant nerfs to outnumbered play that ZOS throws at the game.

The game is dying and Twitch is proving it, devs saying X and Y about game growing is a bunch of bullsh**t.

Without all these embedded streamers the game would barely even pull 1k consistently.

@FENGRUSH Whats wrong with the Twitch culture that tries to have fun? Such attitude is partly the fault why you still sit at 200 viewers, cant cover it up with your embedded viewership.

Dont worry this comment will get deleted and everybody will call me a "Troll" for telling the truth.

Bro did you notice the 2,5million player grow since Elsweyr? I surely did, it must be the reason for the EU servers being on fire every evening, or so ive been told by the devs.

TBH I don't understand ppl who look at streamer playing mmorpg.
I mean, their is literally nothing to see.

Even for pvp I wouldn't look at a game like wow or eso.

I love looking at strategy game or fps because it can be very impressive and I don't even play these game.
But for mmorpg, what is impressive to see ? Dodge roll an aoe ? Block ? smashing mouse button to weave ?
DN pvp was probably the only one I enjoyed to watch cuz it was very skilled and dynamic.

For myself, it gives me a chance to glance at a game and see if it warrants a closer look.

People watch twitch more for a sense of community than anything else. At any given time, the top streamer for a category will have many of the people in that category in the stream. For instance when @mursie streams, most high MMR BG players will be lurking there in between their own matches. It gives the people a place to talk that they otherwise wouldn’t have since they aren’t in a guild or discord together.

Oh yeah cause twitch viewer numbers determines whether a game is dying or not. I wonder if you can spot my sarcasm.

Well for those two weeks that shroud and asmongold played this game, we did notice a huge uptick in popularity. They brought a ton of people with them.

Discounting Twitch viewership as successful is naive. The most popular e sports games are also popular on Twitch....wonder why that is?

Yeah, but did people care about the game or just watching the person they watch.

Personally I don't care about the games viewer numbers, just that we have a good, healthy and friendly Twitch community for those that enjoy the game.
