Lightning Splash:
Increased the base duration of this ability and its morphs to 10 seconds, up from 8.
Increased the base cost to 4950, up from 3024.
Reduced the damage per tick by approximately 33%.
Um... literally the only explanation for this is [snip]. There is no other explanation. [snip]

[Edit for bashing.]

Well, they are continuing to destroy PVE in favour of "PVP balance"... It was numerous times when they have been told that they should have separate skills for pve and pvp, or same skill which will have two different meanings in pvp and pve as in other mmorpgs. They just don't listen.
I am seriously checking FFXXIV now and New World from amazon. Don't like survival setting in New World, but graphics is already at par or better that in ESO. If someone wants to check and Ok with survival and 16th century armory etc - check this out.
Still waiting for another mmorpg with good graphics. WOW is kinda too cartoonish. May be blizzards will drop it at some point and make the new one... Who knows.
Still would like to see what they will do with champion system...
And of course, it is very pity that spellcrafting is off the table. That was probably the only thing I waited from the very beginning... The rest in this game is pretty mundane and usual for other mmorpgs.

So how were you completing those trials in U22 and prior, when DoTs did not deal 2.5 times the damage of direct abilities? DoT in U23 are completely over the top - especially in PvE where there is no cleansing or supression. It is ridiculous that AoE DoT abilities are BiS for max single target dps! That fact alone tells you that they are overperforming by a huge margin given their higher cost!

Dots were doing 2x damage of spammables and nobody objected. 2x, not 1.25x. I am mildly curious from where 1.25 coefficient appeared. 1.25 over 10 seconds sounds hilarious, well because you need 8 dots to do same dps as 1 spammable in that case
Problem of this patch not in dot's damage, it was mostly in easiness of application of entropy and soul trap, which combined with class dot and buffed damage allowed to apply a lot of pressure without much effort.

Here is a link to all the changes I find upsetting. Improving on them could be done by not making them.

Just delete PTS and PTS forum section, it serves zero purpose beyond terrorizing players with foreknowledge of inevitable destruction of the game.daedalusAI wrote: »You didn't listen to feedback before, you won't listen now, so your comment about "constructive comments in times like that" is nothing but a sham, a pointless lip service to soothe/control the masses.

TBH I'd rather not have known about the changes at all until they hit Live; now I know that I only have a few weeks left to wrap things up on my end.
