Good bye DOT meta, you wont be missed. Living Dark is also getting changed to a snare instead of an immobilize. I think these are great changes and a big improvement to PvP.
Coupled with the halving of the Skeletal Mage's damage, the Colossus only applying Major Vulnerability on the final hit (which really means never in PvP, unless you're fighting terrible players and don't need it anyway), and complete lack of fixes for any of the Necromancer's class issues, Mag Necro's offense is about to be completely irrelevant again...barring big changes later in this PTS cycle, obviously.
Meanwhile, Dizzying Swing's damage gets a much milder nerf (yes, I know about the stun), Stam Wardens get the option for 100% uptime on Minor Vulnerability + a semi-passive cleanse, Backlash will be able to crit (with no mention of a damage nerf...), and Onslaught didn't get touched.
I've seen Onslaught hit for up to 11,933 in no-CP, with the 8-9k'ish range being fairly common. Furthermore, I know a Magicka player who hit me with ranged, single target spammables for ~7k damage, just because he had Onslaughted someone else within the previous 12 seconds. Onslaught needs a big ole fat nerf.Coupled with the halving of the Skeletal Mage's damage, the Colossus only applying Major Vulnerability on the final hit (which really means never in PvP, unless you're fighting terrible players and don't need it anyway), and complete lack of fixes for any of the Necromancer's class issues, Mag Necro's offense is about to be completely irrelevant again...barring big changes later in this PTS cycle, obviously.

I don't think a change to Onslaught is needed if Dizzy loose his CC and DoTs are nerfed.

Let's make Meteor hit for 500k damage, and dismiss all complaints as simply, "Numbers you don't like." It should be pretty obvious that ~12k damage in no-CP, given typical player HP levels, is simply ridiculous, especially for something that cheap.I've seen Onslaught hit for up to 11,933 in no-CP, with the 8-9k'ish range being fairly common. First instance is just numbers you don't like, second is obviously a bug.

It's been utterly gutted. After only one short patch of it being playable
The DoT meta with Entropy and Soul Trap might have been bad but it kinda compensated MagNecros for the absolutely horrendous skills that are Blastbones and Mystic Tether. Now the DoTs are crap, Bones is still the most unreliable dmg skill in ESO, and the only real saving grace, Colossus, have been nerfed.
Who even stands a full 3 seconds inside a Colossus smash? That Major Vulnerability becomes a PvE only thing now. What's even the point of the class in PvP?

I hope they give mag builds more direct damage options, and I mean ones that don't require you to play a certain class. If not, its clear what ZOS wants...
