What would you like to see in an upcoming Sorcerer's class identity rework?

Devs said that the next thing they will focus wil be the class identity for several classes among which there is Sorcerer.
What are your predictions of buffs/nerfs?
What would you like to see in upcoming patches?

    My main hope is that they don't base the identity solely around having to use pets to be effective. I find them incredibly irritating, especially the matriarch.

    I heard they are giving them a version of Nightblades' Grim Focus, which I am not okay with since they are already diminishing Nightblades' identity.

    1. Add Major Sorcery to Crit Surge.

    2. Allow players to run summoned pets on one bar. If you summon the pet and have the skill slotted on either bar, the pet remains when you switch to your other bar (without the pet slotted). You would have to be on the active bar though to summon, resummon or activate the pet's special ability. Pet sorcs used to have a third bar via Overload to help compensate for having to double slot pets. I think this would be a better and less clunky way to restore some of that flexibility to sorcs.

    Give stam sorc an active stamina ability that's fun to use, I would even be happy with a stamina costing streak so I could implement it into my gameplay more. Anything as long as its not a utility or a fire and forget.

    No it does not. No one said the ability had to work the same way. For sorcerers it might be when you cast 4 skills that use magicka with the other morph being when u cast 4 skills using stamina instead of nightblade’s 5 light attack.

    I want bound armor rework to look something like the nightblade’s skill instead of its current perma buff that isn’t strong enough to justify. A stamina morph can give 15% more damage blocked lasting for 10s with a stamina recastable that allows it to do AoE damage and taunt.

    The magicka morph can give major prophecy for 10s and be recastable that shoots a single target ability with splash like crystal fragments (AoE cast version) without stun. Bound “armor” in the more offensive sense.

    Major Sorcery on Crit Surge. That is non-negotiable.
    (or even better, just put Major Sorcery on all 3 morphs)

    Being able to single-bar pets would be a welcome change, too. Either that, or give us Overload bar back.

    Rework Overload to make it actually usable.
    Ever since it lost the 3rd bar, it was 100% trash - except for a brief resurgence between Elsweyr and Scalebreaker, but then it was once again nerfed into Oblivion, and is again 100% trash.

    Agreed - if they do push pets as a major part of our identity, I would appreciate a way to change the way they look. I wouldn't dislike them so much if they were less obstructive and distracting (I'm also not a fan of Daedric creatures admittedly, but given the name of the skill line I feel that's a lost cause)

    Yeah, let me summon something that looks somewhat appealing. At least make the pets smaller. Something half what they are now so they aren't so in-your-face would help.

    More Direct Dmg (or Staminamorphs) on the Class Skills, you use Weapon Skills on a Stamsorc :(

    Okay, let´s see.

    1 - Improve a bit AOE dot skills. Rework them or simply buff them, so they get to be again identity of the class. Specially Lightning Splash and morphs. It could become an AOE skill with a small dot component.

    2 - Better Direct Damage skills - a class spammable, among others.

    3 - Rework of the pets. Make Tormentor much better, specially the skill. Right now scalp does more damage and does it AOE, plus stuns... also buff Matriarch´s damage a bit, around 30-40% so the nerf goes around just 25%.

    4 - Improve sustain, it´s a big issue. Dark Conversion as an instant skill (even with less healing).

    5 - Rework/redo utility skills, specially Surge, Encase, Rune Prison, Bound Armor. Some need adjusting and some need to be rebuilt from scratch.

    6- Create some stamina morphs so the stamsorc gets more identity, specially on damage skills.

    Honestly whenever someone says that we need more stamina morphs for Stamsorc, I start to fear that ZOS would butcher Magsorc's skills in some way or another. Look what they did to Power Surge just to give healers new ability. And I do have a Stamsorc.

    screw stam sorcerer, who in their right mind think's of a stamina based sorcerer when it comes to the description of the class.
    Never been a fan of the hybrid system in place, thus it's what creates flavor of the month's etc

    Also, a proper stam spammable, actual debuffs, useful stam damage scaling on the clannfear, and a stam ultimate other than absorption field...
    Oh, and pet alternate skins (Like the grey bear), give me a Dro-m'athra Clannfear.

    I main a stamsorc, so it may seems a little biased here. But outside of storm calling the other skill lines are only interesting for 1-2 skilsl each. That's just outdated design.

    Major Sorcery added to Crit Surge. Power up lightning flood.

    Bugfixing streak. I still root myself from time to time.

    Daedric Protection needs better accessibility, be it through a reworked Bound Armamanets that actually does something offensive or, and that's my personal favourite, a stamina curse.

    Rebate and Blood Magic reworked. The first is completeley useless outside of PvP and some instances where pets aren't unkillable and the second just doesn't work on a stam sorc. Maybe reduce the mag return of Rebate but let it proc on "when a buff runs out" etc.

    An physical damage + moveable Atronach and Overload. The latter could use a rework, either into an low cost direct damage ult (like NB and Templars have) or a less clunky version of itself.

    Rework one of the Daedric Mines into a far-away placeable healing rune with something else attached to it, a minor buff perhaps. Or make Shattering Prison an AoE heal.

    More accessible debuffs. Minor ones would suffice and give them group utility outside of the atro synergy (which could be expanded) and the one on lightning splash. Make exploitation procable on stamsorcs. Either by moving it to another tree or by reworking Shards into an uppercut-like skill.

    I' m not a fan of it but I saw some requests for physical dmg pets. While we're at it, the double slotting needs to go.

    And the usual stam morph requests: stam curse is my fav, followed by physical dmg shards (dizzy swing like) and stam Fury.

    However, what we don't need is being forced into being a pet-reliant class. Many of us don't like the pet gameplay and making them mandatory (or like other times straight out bad) is not the way.

    I already dread about what they are going to do with the class. No excitement, not at all. I've been there for too long to be excited about changes hinted by the devs to come. Most of the time it's just another disappointment. So don't get your hopes high mates! ;-)

    What I'm afraid the most is they are going to give something to stamina at the expense of magicka. Like stam frags or something.

    What I would like to see.... major sorcery added to crit surge is a no brainer at this point. Other than that.... improve sustain, maybe by making dark exchange instant or via some passives. I would be in heaven though if they just scrap a useless skill (like encase or mines) and make it a unique sorc spammable with both mag and stam variant. But it will never happen.

    Add Major Sorcery to Surge/Crit Surge.

    Unsummon pets in towns, so that the rest of the player base stops complaining.

    Reverse or at least partially reverse some of the many recent nerfs that have made MagSorc so weak and unrewarding to play.

    It will probably be even more watered down and become bland as a class to play since they want to make every class cater to do everything. If they rework it I think it will be even more terrible.

    I'm not going to bother holding out any hope at this point.

    Hey there, another main stamsorc here. As plenty of people already did point out - we desperately in need of some class toolkit, since running 80% weapon and world/guild skills can only be fun for so long, until you realise you can make exact same build on any class. I did put 2h vma axe on backbar and went with full melee build just so my stamsorc can be more distinct from my other stam chars. Since it is inclined that you can play as tank, healer, manadd, and staminadd as any class - stamsorc clearly lack options (by any means, I do not say that we need buff, dps-wise stamsorc performs well simply because weapon skill lines is a way to go this patch; nonetheless we at least need an option with class skills). I've heard a lot of great suggestion, like air atro, stam version of overload, frag, curse, making bound armaments do something active, etc. Another great suggestion was to make a conjuration staff as a new mag weapon and put daedric summoning skill line there, giving a sorc brand new one with possible stamina morphs and some neat mag skills, although how cool that will be - not a likely option to see ever, I fear.

    Re-work pets to scale off max resource and corespondent Weapon Damage.

    Bound armaments to work like Daedric summoned Weapons from Skyrim.

    Change the buff empowered ward gives to team mates so it’s something that’s not provided by a warden they have a much better application of minor intellect so let them give the group that and us something else maybe increased healing received?

    Also I would love for dark deal to lose it’s cast time even at an increased cost
