I know what you mean! I wanted to do all my quests on my main, but Zos ruined what made his class fun for me. Even today I do a quest and lament how I’d do it differently if I was on my #1. So I started again and wanted to do all my quest on my new main, but as a healer it’s very tedious. So I was doing all the quests on both, one after another and finished Cadwell’s silver. Then Zos came out with the class I would have played from the start had it existed (Warden), so I started the whole game over on the warden, purchased a lot of stuff for him too. Then Zos ruined what was fun about that class for me and then ruined his race. So I stopped playing and came back and decided to try again. I’ve now taken 4 characters through the Molag Bal quest line and this 4th one I’m going to start doing the dlcs with now and I pray to all that it unholy they do not alter it further.

Character #1 is/was a Nightblade tank. Now just collects Dark Brotherhood Bag/fishes.
Character #2 is a magTemplar healer. Now just crafts.
I don’t play my warden much anymore. That was character #3. It’s a stam Warden. I’m too angry to log onto him lol. His class and his race changed so much from what I purchased it makes me peeved.

Character #4 that I’m currently questing with is a stam Sorc. Which is surprising to me because I really don’t like the Sorc class but as a stam Sorc I barely have any Sorc skills. He just killed Molag Bal last week so I’m finally going to do the main story line for Vvardenfell and the rest.

I really wish it was the warden but my wish for a hunter/pet class was shut down by whiners on these forums who “don’t want to have to use the bear” so Warden is now a knock off neon nature pick and mix of the original 4 classes. Nothing like a hunter/pet class that it could have been.

I hear you about warden. I wanted to play a frost mage but....yeah. He's almost exclusively a PvP character now. I don't even use Winters Revenge in pve anymore.

I treat it like I do a Skyrim playthrough: no one character does it all.

In Skyrim I'd pick an organization or two (mages and bards college, thieves and fighters, etc) and build a playthrough around that. The reasons were the tale usually wrapped up before I got to uber powerful, and the story felt more natural in my head.

For eso, I made one character per alliance. A Breton, a Dunmer, and an Altmer. Each is going to play their alliance story. The Altmer is also focused on the Mages Guild, the Breton on Artaeum, and the Dunmer on the ALMSIVI stuff. So each has a *big* chunk of the story, but no one has all. I've got a warden simmering in the background I may use for the more fighters guild stories and quests, still not decided in that. I'm not sure who is going to do thieves guild and dark brotherhood stuff, time will tell.

I know Cadwell's silver and gold exist but...eh? I really want to experience the story from the POV of someone deeply invested in *their own culture* and to have them have skin in the game concerning the war between alliances. I don't care about achievements. I just want to be immersed in the stories.

I want my Breton to love the rain, to worry over the Wyrd, and to be happiest in her home in Wayrest. I want my Dunmer to love the sound of ash underfoot, to crave the heat shimmering over the charred landscape, to inwardly seethe when she sees an Argonian. I wanted my Altmer to love the fall of pink petals, to cherish the time spent in the springtime hillsides near Alinor, to know her people created a beautiful and important civilization. I wanted three different takes on Nirn.

I only have three active characters, my Mag Sorc main (since xmas 2015) my DK (who I shelved) and my Staminancer. I use my mag sorc if I want convenience (all wayshrines, crafting, skill points, gold gear) and my necro for dumb fun stuff where I dont need my A game

I split my daily play time among my characters if I want to have more then one do everything, but this is not usual for me as I have a mage as main character and I normally use her for everything.

Questing: Stamden. DW and bow. Its just fun with an easy going build and a bear. You can quest almost all just with Lotus and light attack. Lotus heavy attack heals the bear too. The bear takes some adds and makes it just easy fun.

I only have 1 character. Easy to decide what character I pick for questing
