Questing is my favorite part. However, my problems with questing are:
    • quests are too short
    • Choices should have consequence
    • Rewards should be better

Cos it’s like playing solo, why do I have to play eso instead of Skyrim or the new greedfall pure single player rpg game, where the stories are better and no fetch quest felt like quests.
For me, honestly it’s usually ended up buttons smashing to skip the dialogues, hoping the quest would end soon with the lame combat at the end.
So kind of disappointed at the Q4 dlc.

Absolutely! I'm a longtime WoW player, and the questing experience in in ESO is just an entire different world. I love that all the characters are voice-acted, and many of the stories are very interesting! There are almost no boring, repeatable fetching quests, and the world itself is generally both beautiful and enjoyable to explore.

I have a real love-hate relationship with Tamriel Unlimited, however. It's awesome that you can go anywhere and do anything, but at the same time, the stories of the various factions' zones flow together really well, and I feel like it's very easy for people to lose track of the overarching story each faction gets.
The Exclusionary Mandates of Maruhkite Selection: All Are Equal

1: That Shezarr the missing sibling is Singularly Misplaced and therefore Doubly Venerated.
1: That the protean substrate that informs all denial of (1) is the Aldmeri Taint.
1: That the Prophet Most Simian demonstrated that monothought begets Proper-Life.
1: That the purpose of Proper-Life is the Expungement of the Taint.
1: That the Arc of Time provides the mortal theater for the Sacred Expungement.

It’s too easy. I can’t begin to enjoy questing when “Powerful Mage who’s channeling an ancient artifact of utmost power, who’s been terrorizing this town for weeks stomping out all competition” dies in three hits when I stroll up.

The enemies don’t even do their full voice lines if I stick to only light attacks, much less dare to use an ability on their paperthin rear ends.

The quests could be good if ZOS wasn’t too scared of pushing a difficulty aimed at an audience older than 2 years old.

I quest in games. It's what I do for fun. I burned out on dungeon instances, guild stuff, pvp in wow and rift. I spent thousands of hours over the years in the TES franchise games, and am happy to have "met" ESO - for the questing.

I love eso quests in general. They're very well written and voiced. I'd like some improvements but those are of course only my opinion. Like more actual cinematics with camera changes where we can see other npcs and our characters too. And also I wish they didn't hold our hands all the time ith signaling everything we have to go or interact with.
But besides that I think I enjoy doing them

As someone who’s been invested in the elderscrolls lore since Morrowind, I really enjoy questing. It’s fun to learn more about this vast world and the quests achieve that. With that being said though, I do wish there were more challenges with the quests. More puzzles to solve, more meaningful tasks (along with the simple ones). And I agree with what someone said above, having your choices make a bigger impact to the story as a whole.

Since this game is an mmorpg, it’d be downright boring if there was no questing, no story, no lore. The lore and stories is what help make this world so robust and “real feeling”. It’s whats always drawn me in with any elderscrolls game. I appreciate that they didn’t toss that to the side when they brought the multiplayer aspect into this unique world.

The quests in ESO are nice and better than other mmorpgs.
But so far I like the exploring and theorycrafting more than quests.

Secret World had some quests that I really loved and thought about for a long time after. Some really deep puzzling ideas in those quests and the solving was a puzzle too. Best quests I ever seen.

Unfortunately, I have a very few hours in week to play, so I'd rather spent that time on dungeons, PVP and similar stuff, but I must admit, that quests in ESO are very good, with mostly interesting storys and characters, and overall questing in ESO are much better then any other MMOs that I played.

Man, sometimes I wish I have more time to play, just because of all quests and storylines thats been added since Summerset..

There are so many quests in this game with minimal diversity which results in 90% of them feeling bland and repetitive. Not to mention that the difficulty of all overland content is a joke for anyone who has advanced beyond the beginner zones.

PvP, vet dlcs/trials, housing and fashion scrolls online are where the endgame is, not quests.

I still enjoy it. But not as much as I used too since the landscape and questing content has generally just become pitifully easy for high level characters.

If they were to give high level characters an optional Veteran zone to quest and explore in (like they do with dungeons) - where the enemies are scaled to max CP levels so they could provide a more interesting challenge - it would go a long way to making me better enjoy it.

I like quests for the story and environment. Some aren’t that engaging though, and I wish the difficulty is higher. Like, the final quest for Summerset would have been even more epic if it were more difficult.

Yes, quests are one of my favorite activities. I'm neutral about running here and there and one weak mob is the same as another to me, but with the exception of crafting writs and a handful of npcs I deal with on a routine basis, dialogue skipping is probably the anathema of my gaming experience because hearing what the characters have to say is what makes it rewarding. The quality does definitely vary, though.

Mechanically they... aren't the hardest. You can make em harder by your own choices of armor/skills etc. That makes the mechanics of them more like before 1T. But you still outleveled them pretty fast.

The story quality of the average quest is TBH vastly better than other Elder Scrolls games hands down. The main thing worth doing is reading the dialogue you're skipping.

I don't because of two reasons:

    1. Most of the time the quests revolve around daedra and that's repetitive and boring.

    2. They're not engaging. That includes the difficulty but also the way a story is told. SWTOR did a great job on that: Your character is voiced as well, you have three options to answer and there're short cinematics that enhance the story.

    Yes, yes I do. :)

Most of the time they are interesting, have a well written story and are just fun. And even if you sometimes only spend a very short time with characters you can grow to like (or dislike) them in that short time.

You shall not find be darned tedious fetch quests here. (Not many of them anyways.)

Writing of quests is good, but lack of any difficulty and lack of rewards turns questing into sifting through them to get pieces of lore, while fighting with boredom from gameplay.

I like questing. I would like them to be a bit more imaginative than the Elweyr ones which were very steppen-fetchit though.

I am puzzled by all the warriors who are saying they won’t be doing it, when I know that everyone in my elite trials guild will stop everything else until they’ve done the whole thing and PvP will be even emptier than usual for a couple of weeks around release date.
