Bots, Bots, Everywhere And Not A Drop Of Loot

So I've ran like 30 of the public dungeons so far and I got to say they can be really fun right up to the point where you get to the end and there is 4-7 bots insta-killing the last named boss. I understand that there will always be cheaters in any game you play but the whole point of a subscription marketing plan (not to mention the "promise" made to the players by Bethesda and Zenimax) is Game Quality. I've ran 5 different public dungeons over two days reporting around 20 bots and every time I go back they are still there. If the dungeons are going to stay public you are going to need someone on the payroll to go into the dungeons in game and take care of this. Enough with my rant tell me how bad it is in your alliance......

People who likes to cheat in the game are lunatic. I hate cheaters! They show how noobs they are, and cant play mmos. Heck they get banned from eso and they cant get a refund. Hahahahahaha. The worst part will be in cyrodill pvp cheaters like they're gonna make god mode, unlimited stamina/magicka even stealth. Watch out for them.

THISTHISTHIS, every single public dungeon its nothing but bots stacked spamming aoes, especially the Templar knockback. How is anyone supposed to have fun when bots literally have the only chance of killing public bosses? And if you say something while waiting for the boss to spawn you get nagged at about how your whining because someone whos cheating has a monopoly on the bosses! In beta I loved the idea of public dungeons, but this really is no fun at all.
Please try not to think I'm hostile, I'm not trying to be. I just have a hard time wording things with tact >_<.

You boys / girls are highly misguided if you think those people are bots. They're just regular players farming the bosses for the soulgems, potions and blue loot / set items.

    You're joking right?

Most of the public dungeons are now filled with 10-20 chars all called "fgfgfg" fdfdfd" "cdcdcd" etc.. crammed around the boss spawn point running unattended left click macros belonging to the gold sellers farming loot and gems.

Totally agree. Bots are ruining the otherwise great dungeon experience. Surely its fixable with a simple thing like limiting the loot to once per 24hrs? Other than that, I'm loving the game. What about secret doors in dungeons like the single player games? Now that would be great!

I don't think that limiting the other non bot players to a time scale is an acceptable solution. I know this is what a lot of games do but that just seems lazy to me. I mean it is so easy to spot a bot in game, just start talking to people (bots don't talk) or look at other toon reactions to in game scenarios. This is really an easy fix for the dungeons as all the bots are in on place, I mean they all share the same goal make money right. Since this game costs money if you start banning accounts it's only a matter of time before the real people behind the bots stop making money and start loosing it.

To all the people saying to limit loot after the first kill or to put a time limit on the loot... I usually just want to kill the boss until I get the blue item in its loot table. I only want one of that item, I have no intention of farming for that item over and over. If we are only allowed to loot it the first time, and you don't get the blue the first time you kill the boss, are you just SOL with no chance to get the loot?

I could see maybe making it to where once you get that blue item, it will no longer drop for that character.

Or maybe... increase the drop rate on the blue item so that you always get it in the first 1-3 kills of the boss. Then, once you get the item the drop rate drops so low that it's not even worth farming any more. That would make it to where those that just want one of the blue item don't have to stick around at the boss. It would also deter people/bots from sticking around farming it all day. Seems like a win-win to me, everybody gains (except the bots).

How about making the blue item BoP and with 100% chance to drop? Once you kill the boss the first time and get the achievement and loot that boss won't drop anything for you anymore.

I'd be fine with that. Another viable solution.

Make the blue items Bind on Pickup and resale value of 0g so they can profit in no way standing around killing the bosses over and over. Yes some people are doing it for potions and shards but many times there are so many bodies piled up because bots are full so the bodies don't despawn that even when you do get a kill you can't loot because all you can get mousing around is press F to interact with XYZ name.

Part of the charm of this game is it isn't riddled with tons of bind on pickup loot. I hated that in other MMORPGs. I don't think that's the solution. Instead, keep the drop rate fairly low, but enable it so after you loot the boss specific blue, you won't get it again, and it decreases or eliminates any more loot from that boss. Even XP. There's no valid reason to farm a boss beyond getting the specific rare item, so this seems like the best idea to me.

What would that achieve? this makes no sense

I mean if the objective is to get a blue item and you get it only once and after you get it the boss won't drop loot for you anymore, then what is the point of a low drop rate? what is the point of farming that boss, it's not a challenge? how would killing it 7 times make the experience better?

All this restrictive thinking isn't constructive. They don't need to change anything, restrict anything, or limit anything. They have people on staff filtering 1,000 of emails about bots, simply get 3 of them to go into the game, enter the dungeons and ban the bots. Toons are account based in this game find 1 bot find 8 bots. FYI bots loot anything, they sell all items for gold to the NPC and then sell the gold to the gold-seller web sites.

Bad people/players exist I know this they will never be gone. If you get mugged in real life do you call the state and say "Hey we need to limit these muggings to one a week"? No you call the police and they arrest someone and take him to jail. This game should be no different we need Bot police plain and simple less talking/typing more doing.

    So it isn't easy?

Blues shouldn't be easy to get. You think running through a short public dungeon and killing a very easily soloable boss should award everyone an easy unique blue piece of gear? Come on. It should be a low drop rate.

Rarity is the most critical aspect to an MMORPG. Skills need to be hard to train, levels need to be very slow to gain, and gear needs to be scarce and rare. Same as resources. Unfortunately this game seems to be flooded with easy gear and resources. Not a good sign.

Are you kidding me? do you think difficulty has any part to play here whatsoever? This is how you think you make something hard? Basically you just stay on a spot and press one key when boss spawns, that's easy BUT standing there for 15 more minutes and pressing the same key for several times ..its hard, right? and should be rewarded, unless you get it first try and then defeats the whole purpose.

You kinda miss the point and sorry to say but your mentality is damaged by these mindless griding games you played for so long.
There are several ways to implement rarity into game design but generally it's used to artificially extend the lifetime of a game with little content.
