Also, Dungeons are not by any means considered endgame or “hard” content, they are tailored towards the casual group PvEer. Group arenas like vBRP are tailored towards endgame group.

Seriously? Is ZOS really wasting an entire DLC on one huge zone just for quests? Something that can literally be released for a single-player game, you’re calling a DLC for an MMO?
Legit, not a single bone for PvE or PvP? I think you guys have done an amazing job at making it abundantly clear who you cater to @ZOS_GinaBruno. Enjoy losing the last of the Endgame community with no new content for another 6 months.

And I won’t even turn it around and say those who don’t want a new questing zone should go play blahblahblah because I’m not a jerk like that. I want there to be something for casual questers, PVPers, kick-in-teeth-hard trials/dungeon runners, fashionistas, interior decorators, and people who host guar parades.
Throwing a tantrum and attacking players because they aren’t ultra-mega-leet like you is a pathetic response to ESO not releasing the content you want.
I would be interested in the guar parade
Do let me know

We just got a trial and 2 new dungeons in the last DLC for us “endgamers”. There are a ton of players though who play this game for the story and the lore. Not thrilled about this DLC? Don’t buy it. You know there will be more end game content coming soon enough.kathandira wrote: »

100% agree with this statement. ESO is great because of the variety in content that is offered and the variety in DLCs and what they bring to the various gameplay areas. Perhaps folks need to explore other aspects of the game for a bit and learn there is more to this game than just PvP or just endgame.
Questing and exploring is one my my favorite things to do on ESO. I'm not an "endgamer". But the combat has become too easy - even for casual players like me. When you can just "face roll" yourself through all the mobs (which is what the poster I responded to said - and he/she is absolutely correct about that) it actually cheapens the content and makes it less enjoyable.
Questing and exploring is a lot more fun when the landscape poses enough challenge to where it's at least interesting to fight in. So by allowing for veteran zones it would only make this kind of content more popular (not less) and appeal to more high level players like myself. Because a lot of casual players like a bit of challenge too. It's always been a false talking point that only "endgamers" running dungeons and trials like challenge and everyone else just wants everything brain dead easy and are content to read stories and look at scenery. That's not the case. There are a lot of players in that middle ground trust me.
I suppose there's a fundamental difference in definition. To me, when I have completed all the quests in all the zones, and my character literally has nothing left to do but dailies and repeatables, I consider myself to be an endgamer, as I have actually reached the end of the game.
I refuse to call myself a filthy casual, as I am neither filthy, nor am I casual. I know people use that term in jest, but I consider it derogatory since it was formerly used to insult people that played on one gaming platform as opposed to another, along with the word "peasant". I log in and play this game every single day and have invested more time in ESO than any other game I have ever played. I wear ESO t-shirts! That's far from casual IMO, but whatever. Some labels are silly.

And as others have pointed out, ZOS has used this formula for releasing content time and time again. Your end game only dlc will likely be next. Until then, perhaps dive in and enjoy the storyline for a bit instead.
It's not like if they added an arena the quest content would go away.A different team works on that anyway.
My figuring is that Finn's dungeon team is working on 2020 DLC, which is probably going to be 4 Dungeons and a Trial.
Agreed. Actually needing to use skills for quests would make it a lot more enjoyable, at least for me. I vet toggle would be fair I think. Feasable, im not sure.
You know you don't have to do quests alone...
Then beyond that let's address the hypocrisy of those (of most) who complain about this sort of thing and want stuff like dungeons because it is an MMORPG.
Guess what, 4 man dungeons aren't 'massively multiplayer' either, you can get that playing any one of a zillion co-op / normal mulitplayer games. Then to add to that they are instanced outside of the persistent world, so basically fail the two most fundamental aspects of an MMORPG.
But they are in most MMORPGs for exactly the same reason various "solo" stuff is, because that is what is demanded, but that does not excuse the laughable level of hypocrisy.
