Is this real? An entire zone, just for questing?

Didn't we ask for a patch that addressed performance issues? How many polls were created asking to forgo content for performance?

Yes we did. And they aren’t doing that. They’re releasing a giant zone full of quests.

However you cannot see that releasing a zone of quests and releasing no new content and focusing on fixes are not one and the same, absolutely baffles me.

In addition to the new DLC game pack, we are also launching a massive base-game patch, free to all players, that features the first wave of the previously announced performance improvements. This first batch of changes includes a memory management overhaul, the first phase of combat ability performance improvements, and a complete redesign of the Looking for Group system.

These changes will reduce the amount of crashes/dashboarding, improve combat responsiveness, and improve the reliability and speed of the Group Finder. We know that the ESO community has long requested a performance update, so we are thrilled to launch the first part of what will be a massive, year-long series of improvements with Update 24!

Looks like an improvement (assuming it works) and we asked for it. I don't see the issue. On top of that they even communicated.

    No, I'll quest here, thanks.

Legit, not a single bone for PvE or PvP? I think you guys have done an amazing job at making it abundantly clear who you cater to @ZOS_GinaBruno. Enjoy losing the last of the Endgame community with no new content for another 6 months.

Just another lazy money grab by zos. Questing is literally the worst thing in this game. Running back and forth to the same npcs for 10 minutes is absolutely mind numbing. By the looks of it on the comments, that's the content that most forum users enjoy.

As a Solo PvE player, this pleases me. :)

Though Skyrim and Oblivion are indeed good games, I've played over 4000 hours in each one and, frankly, outgrew them due to there limited size. With +6500 hours in ESO, I am still fully enjoying it for its mass and scale. The fact that it is multiplayer is a drawback I live with.

Oh, and I don't complain over countless DLC that are nothing more than group dungeons that most players never go near due to silly obtuse mechanics.

Extremely disappointed endgamers get completely left out of this one. Hopeful for the performance improvements but you can only run the same old instances so many times. Hard pass.

Go play Skyrim if you want to quest.

They have enough staff to do both.

If you want PVP only, play OverWatch or Fortenite

They released 1 trial this year and 4 end game dungeons. If that is not enough for you go play WoW

This is why we need Veteran Zones for high level players to quest in. New scenery, stories, and NPCs are nice and all. But a bit more challenge to make the content more interesting to explore would be welcomed. At least by me.

We just got a trial and 2 new dungeons in the last DLC for us “endgamers”. There are a ton of players though who play this game for the story and the lore. Not thrilled about this DLC? Don’t buy it. You know there will be more end game content coming soon enough.

100% agree with this statement. ESO is great because of the variety in content that is offered and the variety in DLCs and what they bring to the various gameplay areas. Perhaps folks need to explore other aspects of the game for a bit and learn there is more to this game than just PvP or just endgame.

    Try again bud.

If you want to quest go play Skyrim, or Oblivion, heck one of the many single player RPG games out there. This is an MMO and should be treated as such.

Unfortunately for you, you don't define what this game is or will be. ZOS does.

Clearly they disagree with you so if what you see coming is not to your likeing, it is on YOU to find what you want. If its not here right now, too bad bud. YOU try again. Happy searching.

The majority of the playerbase is happy with the DLC type and schedule. There is no reason for ZoS to change anything.

    Yes.

But anyway I am pretty sure ZOS will go for some new crazy gear set that will be proclaimed "BIS" for DPS in that one hard trial so people will buy the DLC anyway, so they could have this new BIS gear, so they could do BIS content, on their BIS characters, to get their BIS rewards... and BIS in scoreboards... :D:D

In other words - dont worry, ZOS will find a way to make you buy new zone....

    I AM an End gamer...

More land to explore and questing , PVE....NOT PVP, is what keeps me coming back. I look forward to this new DLC with pleasure!

That said, I know that the game doesn't revolve around me, but know that ZOS releases plenty of group dungeons & trials for those who love being with others. That is the strength of this world, as all people can find something in it that they like.

Why should I go back to Skyrim? As much as I loved Skyrim, you can only play it for just so long, and I like ESO better!

It's pretty awful when their "epic" year long storyline comes to an end without any epic content. Meanwhile, in Classic WoW, 15 year old raid content is being followed with great enthusiasm.

This could have been a great game, but Zenimax chose the path of mediocrity.

You do realize you sound incredibly arrogant, yes? Telling others what to do because... just because.
If you have valid points, they vanish completely under that tone you write in. I cannot detect a modicum of tolerance for other players that might not think about these themes the same way that you do. At the same time you clearly have not read any of the news articles in the last weeks/months. I hope DEVs close this thread soon.
