Should Projectile Alerts In Add-ons Be Allowed?

Ever since I moved over to the PC version, I've happily enjoyed add-ons for skyshards, and lorebooks, and even destinations to help speed things along. But for the longest time, an addition to certain add-ons has existed that repeatedly ruins the PvP experience. I'm of course referring to being alerted about incoming projectiles. For all of the ridiculous changes that have been made in the game to better suit PvP, it baffles me that you can have such an unfair advantage without consequence. No matter how useful in can be in PvE, dying for not paying attention, or lack of knowledge in the situation is a lame excuse to 'need' it. I'm sure in certain boss fights, it's not at all telegraphed, but that's either intentional, or needs to be worked on by the devs. Now keep in mind that not only does it alert you of projectiles from enemies you can visibly see, but also alerts you of ones coming from stealth. I shouldn't have to explain how ludicrous that concept is. I don't care that people can have alerts to drink potions when they time out, or break free, or really any alert that is just a reminder of how to play the game. But allowing players to completely negate the effects of projectiles not only from players unseen in view, but ones in stealth as well is just a complete slap to the face for anyone who plays with a ranged, or stealth based build.

But then I am a console ‘pleb’ that thinks that all of these apps are ridiculous.

    No.
But I doubt you'll get much support since the playstyle is largely frowned upon.
Sad to, because it's so much fun to play. I liked PvP before, but really fell in love with it when I started playing Nightblade. It's just fun. Who needs that in a game though, right?

I don't snipe however. I thought that would make a difference, but no. Tried running without cloak, even, but still got hate. Even more in fact. Despite the fact I didn't use cloak, players would still whisper me saying things like "cloak carries", and far fouler things. So, basically said f it and started using it.
    Fun as hell.

But no...anything telling you attacks are coming almost seems like cheating.
    Talking about things that carry...lol

if add-ons are something that all PC players can access, why should it be barred?

I personally think console should have access to the simple mods like the ones I mentioned since they're not taxing on performance, but I won't hold my breath for that to ever happen.

@Matthew_Galvanus Because it's unfair in the way that it works. A ranged player who is typically squishy, has no chance against a melee player that can dodge roll the attacks even ones fired from stealth. It's not about add-ons as a whole, it's about a mechanic that completely ruins a big part of the game.

@Kel Exactly my point. Imagine an add-on that allowed you to see players in stealth once they were targeted, no matter how far away they were. It's completely busted, but they've done nothing about it for so long.
