1) Timers vs active combat.
Increase regen during PvE.
No more dot rotations. Give more power to 'direct atk' abilties for true flavour.
Let us use those weapons or class skill lines.
2) Identity.
Remove CC and dmg abilities from FG MG skill lines. Let us use those skill lines as Fighters and Mages to gain Major/Minor buffs to build on our ACTIVE class/weapon abilities.

You made stamina so generic and weapon selection an illusion.
Dont force us to use 2h for Maj Brutality. Put the buff in FG.
Let us chose our weapons based on attack style. Reinforce us with FG and MG.
Use undaunted skill line for PvE. Put some DPS, healing, tanking tools in the useless slots there. Add a couple more.
Take the pressure of players that dont want to play DK tank, Templar healer, Necro stamDPS.
Make Undaunted a boosted PvE skill line.
3) New content Gear. Just stop with the effects. Gear is supposed to improve stats, not add abilities. We have some many skill lines (even though the Meta erases identity).
Let us use gear to improve our regen, ulty usage, atk and defence.
The arena weapons make 1 ability OP and make the rest of the build an accessory, leading to nerfs.
4) Themes.
I will never understand how Dual Wielding that is the Icon of a combat master:
has a terrible Flurry
a Whirling Blades that awaits a nerf
a ranged attack and a WEIRD gap closer
an attrition ability that should belong to tanks.
Ill never understand how the gound AoE of Bow requires you to be at close range even though it could be a wonderfull siege ability and a true bowmans tool, instead of the DPS undisputed champion for EVERY stamina class until recently
Finally you nerfed SnB but made the shield deal dmg while the sword adds effects which is so weird.
When will you add at least 1 more magic weapon? Enough with the gear proc dmg.
5) Full body visual effects from abilities/armor effects
They are so ugly.
One thing that ESO has over other mmorpgs is the way characters look with armor motifs and costumes/skins.
Rework every full body visual effect. Here's my little list:
Dragon Blood
Blade Cloak
Turn Evil circle buff
Stone Giant
Bloodspawn
Evade
Gossamer healer (god how annoying this one is)
Make the visuals nice for long or constant effects. Dont hide our characters.
6) AoE/CC abilities.
If we forget about the performance of the game for a second ESO combat does not have:
Player collision
Cooldowns based on ability impact.
Dont you see how annoying it is to use CC just as a resource drain every 5s?
At least make it 6-7. Let us fight a bit with real blasts and strikes before we just start setting up the boring timers again.
As for the AoE. More nerf. The impact is still too high for abilities with the same cooldown as single target.
7) Dots.
How is DK the attrition class when the whole combat is about Dot now.
As for the proposition to overide previous dots, it works! Not in ESO combat though.
Either remove A LOT of dots from the game, or dont go ahead with that, and revert Dot changes.
