Outfits Inspired

With so many amazing outfits being created by the players, I often wonder - what inspired them? What was the idea? A bright Paladin, clad in gold. An archangel dealing justice. An assassin from a different Realm? A death Knight from WoW? An archer from Middle-Earth? A Red Wizard of Thay?

Do you stick to ES lore only or do you bring in flare from other fantasy realms?

Great idea op! I was thinking about a character cosplay thread as well. I’ve seen a few outfits that make the character look like something else from pop culture (Subzero, Wonder Woman, etc) and it’d be neat to have a thread of them!

I don't have the images ready to hand (cursed headache, it's limiting my screen staring stamina). But I've posted in the Outfits Megathread and the unifying inspiration is "as plausible and realistic as possible for adventuring in the field, with shoulders that fit the body rather than floating, and avoiding hip flaps to the extent possible."

Inspiration for my main's outfit came from the facial paint from Jester's festival. I wanted to create an outfit that fits for the said paint. So no out of the game inspiration or inspiration from any lore, just a generic idea about a jester.

The outfit designs for my characters are always an extension of who they are. To look upon the outfits of my characters tells something of their story, and that is very deliberate and intentional on my part.

If, for example, I have a high elf character you won't see them wearing disgustingly tacky animal furs unless they're a barbaric hulkynd. I do have a high elf character and his accoutrements are suitably posh as befits an Altmer of his standing. Or at least that's how he likes to think of himself. The truth is he left before he could get kicked out, which made the Summerset expansion awkward for him. When going anywhere in cities, he covered his face with a mask so nobody would recognize him... lol.

Casual Summer day.

Mazzatun Light legs for the Skirt. Fang Lair Medium chest for the sports bra, and Yokudan Light shoulders for the shawl to cover up the Fang Lair chest's gaudy metal piece. Dye everything brown to be immersive AF.

My wood elf has always had one foot in the Mages Guild and the other in the forest. She is rather a 'buckskin mage' and her outfit choices reflect that primarily in her colors - forest green and buckskin tan.

One of the things that make me create outfits is to have an appearance without floating hip flaps or shoulders, and without crotch/back flaps. A more natural look. For my female chars I like having a backup "skinny" outfit, like mazzatun skirt, wood elf tier 1 leather chest piece, soulshriven sandals, and honor guard epaulets.

Also, I like wearing the prisoner chains on one outfit. I dye the chains in gold, and wear them like a symbol of transformation or overcoming hardships. They are like a backstory for my char.

made my templar tank into wonder woman because i absolutely LOVE her!!!
templars have the holy divine aesthetics to their skills which kinda fit.

and my META dk tank is a nord who loves to fight.
she was made as a tribute to one of my favorite wwe wrestlers: becky lynch

I'm chasing this:

I've implemented something close in an Oblivion mod, where I had to add a bear mount, and in Skyrim (the same). ESO has provided the eye-patch, the Snow Bear, but the outfit is proving hard to reach, especially around the hips.
